Twilight Saga: New Moon - The Wolf Pack and Kristen Stewart Speak

Twitter is abuzz with reports from The Twilight Saga: New Moon's press day -- we'll list our recommended tweeters to follow below -- but in the meantime some video interviews with Kristen Stewart and four members of the Wolf Pack just hit online that are sure to get fans talking.

Watch Kristen Stewart's interview here.

Twilight Saga: New Moon Updates: Kristen Stewart Interview

Earlier today, the massive Los Angeles press junket for Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” began. All weekend the cast is going to be doing tons of interviews and I’d imagine you’re going to be reading the coverage on every website you follow. So rather than wait till the week of release, I’m going to be jumping in head first and posting what was said as fast as I can get it done. And up first… Kristen Stewart.

While at last year’s press junket for the first “Twilight” film, I got the sense that the massive worldwide interest was a bit much for this talented young actress. But, on stage today, she not only handled the media like a pro, she seemed a lot more comfortable being closely associated with Bella Swan. In fact, she seemed really happy to be talking about the movie. So if you’d like to read or listen to what Kristen Stewart had to say about “New Moon”, hit the jump and take a look:

As always, you can either read a transcript of the press conference or listen to the audio by clicking here.

Finally, while I’d love to write what I thought about the movie as I saw it last night, Summit Entertainment has given us a strict embargo. Sorry.

Question: A year ago when we talked to you seemed to be a shy, sensitive young actor. How has this past year been for you in terms of this nonstop thing on ‘New Moon’ and you and Rob Pattinson?

Stewart: I think I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with talking about myself and knowing that what you say people are really going to take into consideration and that always intimidated me so much that I minced every word that came out of my mouth. I couldn’t finish a sentence because I was so concerned about how it was going to sound. I didn’t want to come across insincere about something that I really love to do. So I realized that instead of refraining from saying I’ve put my heart and soul into this thing and I love it, that’s what I should’ve said instead of, like the really logical, over analytical reason why I love it. You just do. I’ve gotten more comfortable with. The whole rumor, tabloid stuff, it’s so obviously false to me. Look, even before I became a part of it, once I sort of became a star…it’s like a show. It’s like a ridiculous show.

Kristen Stewart Rescues Robert Pattinson In New ‘New Moon’ Photo

Newmoonmovie.org posted a couple of new “Twilight Saga : New Moon” photos from the “New Moon” Illustrated Companion. This one (above) features Twilight,New Moon, and Eclipse movie stars, Ashley Greene,Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson.

This picture is a still from the scene where Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart) has rushed back to Italy with Alice Cullen (Ashley Greene) to stop Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) from killing himself because he thinks Bella is dead. She’s seen walking with him, here, shortly after she stopped him.

“New Moon” has a lot of excitement and drama which includes : great fight scenes with the Volturi clan, the introduction of Dakota Fanning as vampire Jane,Bella Swan being rescued by Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner),and the introduction of the wolf pack. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing it.

The cast are currently in Vancouver,Canada at the moment, filming “Twilight Saga : Eclipse,” which is the third installment of the “Twilight Saga” movie series.

Kristen Stewart ‘Scared of Vampires’

http://cdn.showbizspy.com/static/ALO-0805322.jpg

The actress — who plays Bella in the vampire movie franchise Twilight — apparently keeps pouches of garlic everywhere — including in her car, her dressing room and on her bedroom door.
“People are always remarking how smelly it is, but Kristen doesn’t care,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She’s been afraid of vampires for years, even before she signed up to do the movies, and read somewhere that garlic is supposed to repel them.”
Although Kristen might be scared of vampires, the 19-year-old — who’s currently dating her Twi costar Robert Pattinsondoes admit she finds them sexy.
“Well, classically vampires are meant to draw you in, just to the point where they have you in a complete submitting state to where they can kill you,” Kristen recently revealed.
“So that’s a bit sexy, to give yourself to something to accept, to let something take over. It’s forbidden fruit, something you can’t have but you want more.”

Twilight: New Moon - Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart kiss pic

http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/kristaylorkiss281x211.jpg

The New Moon trailer was entitled “Meet Jacob Black” omitted much, five crucial things, according to MTV movie news as reported below:  (Meet Jacob Black 2nd official trailer can be watched at the end of this article.)
The Cliff Dive — Kristen Stewart told us long ago that Bella’s pivotal cinematic near-suicide will be CGI, and we’ve got to admit: We’re still a bit concerned. Fan-made videos like this one give us an idea of some things to expect from what could be the most powerful moment in “New Moon,” but so far, nothing official. Come on, Chris Weitz — cough it up!

Fight Scenes — Although Catherine Hardwicke’s “Twilight” won the hearts of millions of women, it won’t be stealing men away from sports and “Star Trek” sequels anytime soon. Now, with male directors in place for the next two films — and increasingly darker, more action-oriented plotlines to come — it’s time to start convincing the dudes that seeing “New Moon” will do more than put you in your lady’s good graces. But what have we glimpsed so far? Shirtless Jacob, shirt-open Edward, shirtless wolf pack. “Fight Club” gave the same number of abs, but also brought along just as many punches to the face — so bring back the honey and chicken, already!

The Vanishing Volturi — As any good Twilighter knows, the Volturi feature prominently not only in “New Moon,” but also in the overall arc of the “Twilight” saga. So, why have they become the J.D. Salinger of the film series? We want full-on, official shots of Aro, Caius, Marcus and the rest. No more slowing down video clips to see if that’s Michael Sheen in the background — it’s time to bring out the big guns.
“New Moon” Trailer: Meet Jacob Black

Quil Be Seeing You — Everybody’s got their own favorite quasi-obscure “Twilight” character, and mine is Jacob’s “wingman” Quil Ateara. We know he’s played by Tyson Houseman in the film, but we haven’t seen so much as a publicity shot yet. Sure, some might laugh — but I’ll be wearing a “Team Quil” shirt when I see the film on opening night. Which reminds me of a second complaint: Why has no one invented “Team Quil” T-shirts yet?

It Ain’t Easy Being Human— They’re the nicest people in the world and the backbone of the “Twilight” film series: Mike Welch, Christian Serratos, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, Billy Burke and others. But although these fan favorites are among the most visible at “Twilight” conventions and other events, we haven’t seen so much as a glimpse of them in the “New Moon” trailers. It’s bad enough that these guys don’t get to pretend they have superhuman powers, the ability to live forever or even a clue as to all the craziness going on in Forks. “Twilight” is nothing without the humanity that Stephenie Meyer injected into it — here’s hoping that Weitz remembers that element as he’s working all those long hours and late nights in the “New Moon” editing bay.”

Despite what MTV claims is missing, the trailer has plenty of eye candy including the ripped bod of Taylor Lautner, a love-torn Robert Pattinson and new cast member, Dakota Fanning. Regardless of what MTV news feels is lacking, fans will be sure to get the full fill of Team Jacob and Team Robert in the sequel. Most fans have stated that they are having mixed feelings about Bella being with Taylor and having Edward leave Bella but only time will tell at the box-office. A movie trailer should only give hints as to what the film will entail, not tell the entire story in a few moments.  Its a good thing that these five things are missing from the trailer, if they were all in the advertisement, what would be left to see in the actual movie? Devoted fans are counting the days until it opens and the numbers will be a tell-tale sign whether the film lacks or not.

New New Moon Posters With Rob Pattz and K.Stew

Ahhh! New New Moon stuff. Does anyone ever get tired of how much new New Moon stuff there seems to be every day? Didn't think so, which is good because we need more Twilight on this site.

Today in our endless documentation of new New Moon stuff, we have a couple of lovely movie posters featuring our two favorite Twilight kids doing what they do best—looking moody.

First up, one Mr. Edward Cullen. So pretty, right? It's real artwork like how they used to do it before computers. They'll probably put this in a museum one day.

And that's not all we have. What is a sparkly vampire without his lamb?

Oh, oops! Did we just interrupt Bella in the middle of some very serious soul-searching? She looks pretty annoyed. Sorry, Bella! You can go back to your Paramore jams, we'll just go back to staring at Rob Pattz.

Robert Pattinson's favorite scene from the Twilight Saga: New Moon

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/rpkscc.jpg

Robert Pattinson loved having the chance to break Bella Swan's heart.
During a discussion panel at Comic Con, Pattinson talked about his favorite scene from his upcoming film, the Twilight Saga: New Moon:
"I think my breakup scene was my favorite scene," Pattinson explains. "I mean, hopefully it'll come off as having quite a few more levels than the relationship in 'Twilight.' It was interesting. It was like a five page long dialogue sequence. That didn't happen at all in the first one and it's quite an interesting little moment. It completely bypasses all the supernatural elements of the story, as well, which I found quite interesting."
Rob is known for taking on a wide variety of different roles, especially those of the brooding romantic. The young star played Art, a jaded young man with numerous family problems, in 2008's How to Be. His most recent role in Remember Me as Tyler, a NYC bad boy who falls in love with the elusive Ally, provides another example of the star's ability to play a jaded yet emotionally complex character.

Robert Pattinson ‘Entertains Kristen Stewart in His Limo’

 http://cdn.showbizspy.com/static/kristenrob.jpg

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reunited at Comic-Con in San Diego Thursday.
The pair had spent most of the summer apart. Kristen has been in Los Angeles filming Joan Jett biopic The Runaways; Robert has been in New York filming indie drama Remember Me.
After doing their duties promoting Twilight sequel New Moon at the Uber-Hollywood trade show, the pair finally got some alone time.
So, how did the hot, young stars spend it?
In true Hollywood style, of course!
Pattinson, 23, reportedly entertained his rumored lover in his limo back to LA for 3 hours.
Kristen, 19, ditched her own car to ride with Rob, the National Enquirer reports.
At Comic-Con, Kristen was questioned about her relationship with the British actor. She rolled her eyes, laughed and said, “Are you kidding me?”
Rob recently insisted that despite his new-found fame, he is still the same guy.
“I would like to think that I haven’t changed that much,” he said. “Within myself I don’t think I have changed but I guess that outwardly — like when I walk down the street I look down a little more often.
“But this is just extraordinary. I don’t think any of us expected this to happen and it just seems to keep building and building.”

'New Moon' Star Taylor Lautner: 'I'm Asked To Growl A Lot

Excitement is mounting for 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon,' and we're on the Comic-Con red carpet with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner! Read on to see what secrets they reveal…
Sporting a Joan Jett rocker 'do, Kristen jetted from the set of her rock 'n' roll biopic 'The Runaways' just last night to greet the fans and present exclusive 'New Moon' clips, and she admits that switching gears can be a bit bizarre.

"It's the weirdest thing: I got off work last night at, like, nine o'clock and I got here at, like, 1:30 in the morning," she explains. "Luckily we got to see the clips before they were going to be shown to everyone. It's sort of easy for me to slip in and out of this mode, because I have to do it all the time and I've been doing it for close to two years, so it's sort of second nature, but I sort of wish I could've finished ['The Runaways'] completely. I don't like to interrupt the flow of organic filmmaking."

So what's the strangest thing Taylor's ever experienced at Comic-Con? "I'm asked to growl a lot, and I don't really enjoy doing that," he says. "So I just tell people to wait for the movie to see me growl. We have a lot of fans with crazy experiences."
Taking another bite out of the box office November 20, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' reunites the first film's stars to tell the further tales of star-crossed lovers Bella Swan (Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Forced to leave Bella to keep her from danger within his own family on her 18th birthday, Edward and his vampire brood leave the town of Forks, allowing for Bella's werewolf friend, Jacob Black (Lautner), to deepen their friendship and protect her from more deadly vampires. Love triangle alert!

Part of the plot takes Edward and Bella to Italy, and Kristen says of the exotic location, "It was astounding to be there. It was such a change. All of a sudden the movie's going to go from dreary, wet, green, dead to vivid, ancient -- it's just a different world."

And although there were some fun stories from the Italian shoot, unfortunately Taylor didn't actually get to go to that location.

"[The werewolves] didn't get to go to Italy; we were just in the cold, Pacific Northwest," he sighs.

'Twilight' trio offer views on 'New Moon'

While thousands of fans lined up outside the San Diego Convention Center on Thursday morning, hoping to get into one of Comic-Con's most anticipated panels, a session devoted to a little franchise called "Twilight," the series' stars spent some time with the media at the nearby Hilton Hotel.

The trio -- Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner -- arrived a fashionable 30 minutes late. Lautner looked a good 20 pounds bulkier than he did last year, Pattinson seemed less shell-shocked, and Stewart was made up like the second coming of rock goddess Joan Jett (whom she's playing for the independent film "The Runaways," about Jett's early all-chick band).

"I think last year Comic-Con was the big eye-opener for us," said Lautner, the only actor who appeared genuinely awake and visibly excited to promote the next film in the series, "New Moon." "It's awesome that we get to see them all waiting for us again a year later."

Pattinson had a different take on the story's rabid fans, acknowledging up front that "there's no pleading ignorance [with the press] now. You actually have to have something to say."

So what did the cast have to say? None of them had seen the completed film. And journalists were warned by Summit Entertainment head of PR Vivian Mayer-Siskind at the outset not to even think about asking questions about the reported romance between Pattinson and Stewart. (Mustached online personality and Comic-Con vet Bob Stencil did anyway: "What's the off-screen chemistry like, Rob and Kristen?" The actors didn't have time to open their mouths before Mayer-Siskind shut that down.)

The stars did divulge that Edward would be much more of a presence in "New Moon" than he is in the book, which follows the breakup of Bella and Edward when he leaves her early in the story and reappears only in the final fifth of the novel.

"He's in it!" Stewart said as if to reassure skeptics. In "New Moon," Bella begins hearing Edward's voice after he leaves. In the movie, she'll see him as well.

"It would look probably pretty cheesy if it were just my voice, so they've done these hallucinations, semi-visible apparitions," Pattinson said.

"It's a severely emotional movie," Stewart said as if to explain why she stuck with the teen franchise. "I like it best just in terms of how far I was able to push myself this time. It's not about discovery or falling in love. It's, like, low. Bella is a manic-depressive, basically.

"After 'New Moon,' it's pretty much smooth sailing for her," Stewart said.

The third film, "Eclipse," begins production in mid-August, and Lautner called it "the high point in the series." Pattinson couldn't pinpoint the drawing power of vampire stories -- "When I play it, I try and eliminate the vampire element as much as I can," he said -- but said they obviously had "some sort of power."

"I found myself bizarrely invested in the 'Twilight' story after my first audition -- and I hadn't even read the books yet," he said.

Lautner was a little more upbeat. "The werewolves definitely step up the action in this movie," he said. Of course, he gets to play one.

The 17-year-old also divulged that he'd bulked up by "eating everything" for months and working out nonstop with a personal trainer to keep him locked into the role of Jacob, Bella's werewolf suitor.

(Before "New Moon" began production, it had been thought the actor may have been too slight to play Jacob in the second and third films, in which the character is supposed to have radically transformed.)

Just don't ask him to growl like a werewolf for you. "I really don't enjoy doing that," Lautner said. "Please don't. Just wait for the movie."

-- Denise Martin 'Alice' plus a view of Depp, Burton

Comic-Con attendees expecting surprise appearances from big-name movie stars weren't disappointed Thursday morning at Disney's 3-D panel when Johnny Depp, gallantly dressed in a white shirt and black vest, showed up to support director Tim Burton, who unveiled a teaser trailer for his upcoming "Alice in Wonderland."

The film, which stars Depp and is due out in March, draws from a cross section of Lewis Carroll's writing, including his "Jabberwocky" poem.

The trailer footage prominently featured Depp's flame-haired Mad Hatter as well as a variety of fantastic images that Burton has assembled for the movie, which combines live action and animation.

At the urging of moderator Patton Oswalt, the trailer was shown three separate times to a wildly enthusiastic crowd. "John and I worked together many times, but he has never done a character with orange hair," Burton dryly observed from the stage about the Hatter's unusually colored coiffure. "We scalped Carrot Top and took his hair."

Disney also showcased early footage from Robert Zemeckis' "A Christmas Carol" and its "Tron" reboot.

Kristen Stewart Can Sing!

We've already seen some clips of Robert Pattinson singing, but did you know Kristen Stewart can sing too? We wonder how much beautiful music these two make together. But seriously, Kristen Stewart isn't bad at all.
How do we know? We just viewed this clip of Kristen Stewart singing from the 2007 biographical drama, Into the Wild. And she sounds pretty amazing; much better than we expected.
So now the question is, will Kristen be singing in her upcoming Joan Jett biopic, The Runaways? Her Into the Wild song is super mellow and slow and Joan Jett is much more rock and roll, but we think Kristen can pull it off. And we would love it if she sang in the movie!
And then if she and Robert Pattinson did a duet, of course. Do you see Twilight the Musical in Kristen Stewart's future?

6a00d8341bf6c153ef011571495f24970b-800wi

Check out the new cover of the movie tie-in edition of “New Moon."

The book’s cover is an exclusive image of Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart from the "Twilight" franchise's second film, due out this fall.

Team Taylor fans should snag copies for posterity. Or to paper their bedroom walls. Or ceiling.
And there's even an exclusive poster inside!

As for Team Edward, they have enough photos of Robert Pattinson making out with Emilie de Ravin in New York on the set of "Remember Me" to look at.

What do you think of the book cover? Is it just us or does this look like a romance novel?

Robert Pattinson and the Cast of Twilight Didn't Play in Italy

http://www.limelife.com/R/ResourceModule/generated/rs_spl103163_004_w_300_h_400_w_214_h_292.jpg

While filming New Moon in Italy, the Twilight stars didn't get to explore and play in the beautiful country. Was it Robert Pattinson's fault?

There's a lot to see in Italy, but Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Kristen Stewart, and the rest of the Twlight cast didn't really get to enjoy it while filming New Moon. According to Ashley Greene, "We literally all had two bodyguards and drivers, and we couldn't walk and had to be driven around the set. It was because there were thousands of girls that came in from everywhere in the world to see (Robert Pattinson)."

So it's Robert Pattinson's fault for being so good looking, girls were coming from everywhere to see him. The fans would even sleep outside the gates just waiting for a glimpse of Robert and the cast. While the cast was filming the first Twilight movie, they were able to do as they pleased in Vancouver because the world wasn't yet obsessed with them.

Kellan Lutz confirms this and says, "Every second of Rob's life is watched now," while Cam Gigandet says, "(His fame) is always growing, but Rob is still Rob - which is a good thing."

We can't imagine being in Italy and not even getting to see the sites, but it sounds like Robert Pattinson was a tourist attraction himself!

Kristen Stewart: MTV Movie Awards Hottie

She’s one of the biggest young female stars in Hollywood these days, and earlier tonight (May 31) Kristen Stewart was spotted at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
Fresh from her “New Moon” shoot in Italy, Miss Stewart was more than happy to strike a few poses for the paparazzi outside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

And the “Twilight” cutie definitely displayed her own flavor of fashion in a funky black and red dress teamed with a pair of black Converse All-Stars.
Tonight’s show is being hosted by Andy Samberg and will include appearances by Kristen’s on-screen cohorts Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Robert Pattinson: Acceptance non-kiss was Kristen's idea

June 01, 2009, (Sawf News) - The idea to put viewers on the edge by going through the motions of reenacting the Twilight kiss that earned them the Best Kiss Golden Popcorn came from Kristen Stewart, says co-star Robert Pattinson.

"[The acceptance] was Kristen's idea. My ideas were so terrible they were rejected," he tells Entertainment Tonight of their non-kiss. "So I'm happy she helped me two minutes before it happened."
"That was my big idea. I'm not going to kiss you!" Kristen endorses.

As Pattinson and Stewart walked on to the stage to receive their award, they first exchanged hugs and greetings with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, who announced them as winners. Next, Pattinson got rid of gum as he readied to be kissed. The two co-stars faced each other and braced for the kiss. Stewart then edged closer as Pattinson closed his dreamy eyes…

With their lips inches apart, Stewart turned to the microphone and said to the audience, “Thank you so much!”
