The Volturi Coven Photos

Michael Sheen as Aro, leader of the Volturi, in Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon - 2009
2rh4lz8
As if James, Victoria and Laurent weren’t menacing enough, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ introduces us to a new band of baddies far more eeeeeevil: the Volturi.
Allow us to reveal the first official image of Caius, the most sadistic of the ancient Italian vampire coven. Caius is played by Jamie Campbell Bower, who knows a thing or two about bloody good times from his stint as Anthony Hope in ‘Sweeney Todd,’ and will also soon be seen as Gellert Grindelwald in the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ movies (can he and R. Patz broker peace between warring fan armies?)
So what else do you need to know about Caius? This ominous vamp was born in a suburb of Cincinnati in 1988, is a Libra, and enjoys snowboarding, Fruit Roll-Ups and old re-runs of ‘Blossom.’ (Kidding!)
Caius was born around 1300 BC, though the date of his transformation and his special powers are unknown. But we do know that he really, really wants to kill Bella, Edward, and Alice. And we’re not going to lie, he looks pretty good for a 3,300-year-old.

MARCUS
Full Name: Marcus
Status: Vampire
Group: Volturi Coven
Date of Birth: Around 1300 BC
Date of Transformation: Unknown
Special Abilities: He sees the strength of the relationships between people.

Jane is a high ranking member of the Volturi Guard. The Volturi were waiting to change her and her brother Alec until she was older, but humans—believing her and her brother to be witches—tried to burn them at the stake, which forced Aro to act while the twins were little more than children. Jane’s experience with the pain of burning alive shaped her into a potent weapon – she developed the ability to inflict immense pain on others with only a look.

In this promo pic, the 16-year-old Canadian is wearing an obviously darker suit, but he’s nonetheless a solid match for the eternally youthful vamp. His is said to be the following: “The Volturi were waiting to change Alec and his twin sister Jane until they were older, but humans tried to burn them at the stake, so the Volturi were forced to ‘change’ them while they were young. Since acquiring Alec and Jane, the Volturi have seldom needed to fight — their victims are simply slaughtered.”

Breaking Dawn 100% confirmed!

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090810/425.pattinson.stewart.reed.hardwicke.rathbone.081009..jpg

For all of you nervous Nellies who need everything to be 100 percent confirmed to believe it (that would be you, Robsten doubters), Summit has officially announced that Breaking Dawn is a go.
Like we told you months ago, Summit and the cast were onboard for the fourth film and they damn well planned to pump out this franchise basically as fast as possible. Why? Because the horny cast can't keep off each other—that's why. And that so hasn't changed, darlings. If anything, it's only gotten more twisted. So these movies need to get wrapped pronto before the cast really starts pissing each other off. Just ask Terry Tush-Trade, Twyla Babe-Sucker, Julie Bone Jumper and then some.
So is B.D. still on track to be PG like screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg dished a while back? And are any castmembers getting axed à la Rachelle Lefevre?
First up: Deep Twi tells us that execs over at the studio know their audience. And it's hardly just made up of 13-year-old girls. Don't expect an R rating or anything, but as far as we've heard, the film will retain the original book's "sexual heat."
Too dee-lish. Flying feathers, broken headboard, plus, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart equals box-office gold.
As for which castmembers will return?
"Everyone will be back," Deep Twi assures us.
We know Rob has already agreed, and since Kristen "can't wait to get pregnant" we're gonna go out on a limb and saying she's def not going anywhere. Ditto for Taylor Lautner.
And when we chatted with Ashley Greene last month, she not only confirmed the fourth movie would happen, but that it would happen fast, so she's obviously safe too. And sorry—but Nikki Reed def isn't going anywhere either. Why get rid of the hot be-yotch who keeps the tab controversy going? Not in this town, babes.
In fact, according to Deep Twi, dates for Breaking Dawn haven't been locked in yet because the studio wants to ensure the entire cast will be good to go.
Hooray! That's good news right? Or would you like to see any of your fave cast replaced?

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Finds Its Vampire Maria

http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news/aug09/catalinamoreno.jpg

Now that Twilight sequel New Moon is edging closer to its November release date, eyes are turning to the third film, Eclipse, which begins lensing in Vancouver in just a few more days. Casting updates have been coming in fast and furious for the new installment helmed by David Slade, including this latest bit on who would be portraying the vampire Maria.

Per THR's Risky Biz Blog, Catalina Sandino Moreno, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Maria Full of Grace and also appeared in Steven Soderbergh's epic Che, has been tapped to portray yet another Maria, described as a woman who tries to create a newborn army of vampires, recruiting the Confederate soldier Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) to her cause.

Moreno's casting adds further gravitas to Eclipse, which is shaping up to be the most talent-laden chapter in the series what with Slade at the controls and heavyweights like Bryce Dallas Howard and the recently announced Jack Huston filling in the gaps around established leads Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, and Taylor Lautner.

I suspect we'll be hearing lots more on this one between now and its June, 2010 debut.

Robert Pattinson thinks Twilight fans are hot

http://cm1.theinsider.com/media/0/526/45/robert-pattinson-megan-fox-2009-teen-choice-awards-choice-hotties.0.0.0x0.400x524.jpeg

And here’s something flattering for all Twilight Saga fans out there, something to keep the fire burning, you know.

While accepting his Choice Male Hottie award at 2009 on Sunday had a pretty laconic speech to thank everyone for the award.

However he used his chance to express his gratitude to all the Twilight Saga fans for their love and support saying that to him Twilight fans “are the hottest hotties and the hottest teens.”

Now, are you a hot Twilight fan? :)

Taylor Lautner Talks 'New Moon' Wolf Pack

Get ready to meet the werewolves of New Moon, which hits theaters on November 20.

Taylor Lautner, aka Jacob Black, spilled some details about his buff buddies at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.

He explained to MTV, "He's pissed off a lot in this movie. He is pissed off for many different reasons." So for that reason, he needs some friends to back him up.

"We've got Sam Uley, who leads the pack. We all follow him. He's the alpha. And then we've got Jared and Paul—Jared is a funny guy, a real jokester—and Bronson [Pelletier], who plays him, in real life is the same way, so he does that well. Paul is the hothead. He goes out with my girl, and I tear him to shreds. And then there's Kiowa [Gordon] who plays Embry—he's my best friend."

He also dished about an altered scene in the movie, which slightly changes the character of Quil Ateara to reflect his "smoothness" with the ladies, or funny lack thereof.

"Me and Bella—I'm sorry, Bella and I—are working on the bikes, and Embry and Quil come in," Lautner explained. "Quil's checking out Bella [and trying to be smooth] and is like, 'Hey, I'm Quil. Quil Ateara.' It's a really funny scene, and the two were really great in it."

Taylor Lautner thanks his 'Twilight' fans. That means you!

Taylor Lautner was excited to see the whole "Twilight" cast again at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards and again he praised the trilogy's amazing fan support.
And for the umpteenth time, yes, they were all amazed at how popular the first Twilight" was....
C'mon, there's "New Moon" coming and they're already shooting "Eclipse."

Ashley Greene hits the gym for Eclipse!

http://image2.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/Ashley_Greene_of_Eclipse.jpg

Twilight star Ashley Greene has been hitting the gym recently to prepare for the grueling fight sequences in Twi sequel Eclipse, which will begin production Aug. 17 through Oct. 31 in Vancouver.
Greene, 22, plays the pixie-ish vampire Alice Cullen in Twilight and its sequels New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, which are being filmed back-to-back. Because the sequels are more action-oriented than the original film, several members of the ensemble cast have been feverishly working out for their roles.
Ashley told RadarOnline that she has been working out with a personal trainer, doing yoga, kayaking and lots of cardio.
"I usually do Pilates," she said. "But I worked with an amazing trainer who really catered my workouts to what I like to do. He'd say, 'you like to go kayaking? Let's go kayaking."

Similarly, Greene's co-star, Taylor Lautner, has also had to step up his workouts to play the hulking shape-shifting werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight sequels. Lautner, 17, has gained 30 lbs. of muscle over the past few months by working out constantly and eating around the clock.
The unexpected mainstream popularity of the Twilight franchise will keep its young cast busy (and buff!) until at least 2010. Production on New Moon has just wrapped, and its sequel, Eclipse, is set to begin shooting soon. After that, Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in the best-selling Twilight book series, will begin shooting.

All the Twilight sequels are scheduled to be released back-to-back, with New Moon slated for release in November 2009; Eclipse set for June 2010 and Breaking Dawn the following fall.

Is Twilight author Stephanie Meyer a plagiarist?

http://image2.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/stephanie-meyer-3.jpg

Plagiarism is serious business. It's pretty odd when creative writers sink to that level, but from my own experience as an under and post grad writing student, you'd be shocked how many people, devoid of ideas, sink to that level.
So did Stephanie Meyer plagiarize passages from Breaking Dawn? Author Jordan Scott certainly thinks so, issuing a cease-and-desist letter after he noticed that her books share more than a passing resemblance to his novel, The Nocturne.
Sure, it's easy to accuse Scott of trying to jump all over Meyer long after she's become successful, for financial gain or to bump his own book sales. But this should certainly be looked into. After all, consider the case of Kaavya Viswanathan, the Harvard sophomore whose young adult novel, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got A Life, triggered alarms for several of her fellow students, who were, well, shocked that someone they deemed mediocre so easily got a multi-book deal. A bit of research uncovered that she'd stolen entire passages and the plot points from a relatively unknown writer,  Megan McCafferty. Viswanathan insisted she's merely 'absorbed' the author's style and writing. Verdict: stolen.
Being unfamiliar with both The Nocturne and Breaking Dawn, I'll have to wait and see what the evidence is against Meyer. Several people unsuccessfully sued J.K Rowlings following the epic success of the Harry Potter series for similar reasons. As many articles point out, the wording in vampire novels tends to be, well, cliche, so sometimes things sound the same, But how much is too much?

Eclipse Casting News and Breaking Dawn Legal Woes

http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news/aug09/jodelle.jpg

Bryce Dallas Howard isn't the only new name attached to the third installment in the Twilight Saga, David Slade's Eclipse. The news came down today that Jodelle Ferland from Silent Hill, The Messengers, and upcoming The Cabin in the Woods has joined the cast as well.

Variety posted the following description of Ferland's character: a vampire who has just been turned. Not much to go on, but those of you who are familiar with the story should have some idea of who that might be.
Meanwhile, Stephenie Meyer, author of the four Twilight books that started this craziness in the first place, and her publisher, Little, Brown & Co. (part of the Hachette Book Group), are beset with legal woes. Jordan Scott is claiming that Meyer's final chapter in the Twilight collection, Breaking Dawn, bears a striking resemblance to her novel The Nocturne, originally published in 2006. MTV provides a pretty good synopsis of the situation, including this statement from Hachette's attorney:

"Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer or her supposed book prior to this claim. Ms. Scott's attorney has yet to furnish us with a copy of the book to support this claim as requested. The world of the 'Twilight Saga' and the stories within it are entirely the creation of Ms. Meyer. Her books have been a phenomenal sensation, and perhaps it shouldn't be surprising to hear that other people may seek to ride the coattails of such success. This claim is frivolous and any lawsuit will be defended vigorously."

New New Moon Posters With Rob Pattz and K.Stew

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090803/293.newmoon.poster.pattinson.robert..lc.080309.jpg

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090803/293.newmoon.poster.stewart.kristen.lc.080309.jpg

Ahhh! New New Moon stuff. Does anyone ever get tired of how much new New Moon stuff there seems to be every day? Didn't think so, which is good because we need more Twilight on this site.

Today in our endless documentation of new New Moon stuff, we have a couple of lovely movie posters featuring our two favorite Twilight kids doing what they do best—looking moody.

First up, one Mr. Edward Cullen. So pretty, right? It's real artwork like how they used to do it before computers. They'll probably put this in a museum one day.

And that's not all we have. What is a sparkly vampire without his lamb?

Oh, oops! Did we just interrupt Bella in the middle of some very serious soul-searching? She looks pretty annoyed. Sorry, Bella! You can go back to your Paramore jams, we'll just go back to staring at Rob Pattz.

Rumor: Three Twilight Breaking Dawn Films

http://acplteens.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/200px-breaking_dawn_cover4.jpg

A report has sprung up at the Acting 411 Blog claiming the final Twilight book, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, will be split into three films. The original Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, set to start shooting this month, are all single films. The report claims "sources" provided the information but does not list them, hardly a ringing endorsement for fact without the backing of an official Summit announcement. If you take a step back and put yourself in Summit's news, the theoretical move makes all the sense in the world.
The Twilight phenomena has reached astronomical proportions, bolstered this past week by sales of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight novels surpassing Harry Potter. Unlike Potter which Warner Bros. Pictures has turned into eight films, there are only four Twilight books to work from.
By breaking the final Twilight film into three parts shot concurrently, Summit Entertainment can effectively triple their earnings from the single purchase price for the rights to the Breaking Dawn book. More importantly, they can stretch out Twilight into 2012 if necessary and use every day between now and then to draw in new fans and sell multiple versions of the previously released Twilight films on home video.
Also think of how many now 6 to 8 year-old girls can be exposed to Twilight with a couple extra years in the mainstream media. Better practice covering your ears now, just in case.

3 Breaking Dawn movies? What do you think guys? Hmm.

Recasting leaves 'Twilight' fans dissatisfied

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/lefevrehoward.jpg

If you know anything about hardcore fans (think Star Trek or Lord of the Rings), you know they generally don’t react well to change, especially when that change comes at them like a runaway starship. Twilight fans are no exception, and they’ve just been hit with a big one: Rachelle Lefevre will no longer be playing the role of the vampire Victoria; instead, the part will be taken by Bryce Dallas Howard.

The news hit the web at around 9:00 Tuesday night, and the fandom was pierced with the screams of a million fangirls. Half of them checked their calendars to make sure it wasn’t April; the other half stared at their computer screens in shock. “I knew I felt a ripple in the twiverse!” one fan quipped via Twitter (Bryce Dallas Howard became a trending topic within an hour of the announcement);

however, not all reactions were as lighthearted. Anger, shock, and sadness seemed to be the most common among fans lucky (or unlucky) enough to get the news first; disbelief came in right behind. Even the fact that the news came from trusted and respected sites like the Twilight Lexicon wasn’t enough to dispel that “April Fool’s” feeling among many a fan. Unfortunately, once the shock died down a few hours later, reality began to sink in.

“It’s wrong to replace her!” many fans raged. “I can’t see anyone else in that role,” others complained. Some started thinking long-term: “Will Ron Howard direct Breaking Dawn?” The reactions have been numerous and varied, but the underlying confusion of the fans’ outcries is clear: why is Lefevre being replaced?

The news came directly from the bigwigs at Summit Entertainment, the studio that produces the Twilight saga. The press release was lengthy and touted Howard’s acting experience in films such as Terminator Salvation and The Village, standard for this sort of thing, but surprisingly, it’s not Howard’s talent that has everyone up in arms. Rather, the too-short explanation of Lefevre’s replacement (“scheduling conflicts”) has left fans feeling shortchanged.

Those who managed to quickly regain control of their emotions went in search of answers. Rumors flooded the fandom within hours: Lefevre wanted to leave; Summit asked her to leave; she’s trying to “buy” a part in another film by giving up her vampire role. Of course, everything is speculation until either Summit or Lefevre decides to make further comment on the issue, but until that time, Twilight fans will be making their feelings known.

“If the fans found out about what [Summit was] up to we would have stopped them like Taylor,” declared one fan, referring to last year’s uproar over Summit’s original intention to replace Taylor Lautner (Jacob in the films) because of his then-lacking physique. (In another drastic change that enraged fans, “scheduling conflicts” also lead to director Catherine Hardwicke leaving the helm of the blockbuster series last December.)

Summit seems to be taking the brunt of the blame in the early hours of this fandom explosion (“This is why I dislike that studio VERY MUCH!” commented a fan), but we can only wait and see if they decide to clear up the issue or not. Either way, they’ve just managed to rile up some very passionate fans who won’t be letting this go for quite some time.

Update 07/29: Rachelle Lefevre has issued a personal statement to Access Hollywood, claiming that she was "stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria."

Robert Pattinson's favorite scene from the Twilight Saga: New Moon

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/rpkscc.jpg

Robert Pattinson loved having the chance to break Bella Swan's heart.
During a discussion panel at Comic Con, Pattinson talked about his favorite scene from his upcoming film, the Twilight Saga: New Moon:
"I think my breakup scene was my favorite scene," Pattinson explains. "I mean, hopefully it'll come off as having quite a few more levels than the relationship in 'Twilight.' It was interesting. It was like a five page long dialogue sequence. That didn't happen at all in the first one and it's quite an interesting little moment. It completely bypasses all the supernatural elements of the story, as well, which I found quite interesting."
Rob is known for taking on a wide variety of different roles, especially those of the brooding romantic. The young star played Art, a jaded young man with numerous family problems, in 2008's How to Be. His most recent role in Remember Me as Tyler, a NYC bad boy who falls in love with the elusive Ally, provides another example of the star's ability to play a jaded yet emotionally complex character.

Top 10 Places to Spot Robert Pattinson

http://www.blackbookmag.com/ee/images/uploads2/RobertPattinsonOutNY2Yx.jpg

Robert Pattinson was here in New York for a while, where, like a mirage of tousled sex, he dodged fans while flitting from hotel to bar to hotel. If the young gentleman can ever again summon the courage to return to Manhattan -- and its chorus of “OHMYGAWD ITSEDWARDILOVEEDWARD ICOULDJUSTDIEEEEEEEE” -- here is a list of his favorite places to hide. Stalk away!

Pearl Street Diner (West Village) - According to this man’s Twitter account and this blogger’s mobile photos, the no-fuss West Village eatery was closed on July 15 when it became a filming location for Pattinson’s new movie. When asked for comment, Pearl’s cooks said, “We’ll never wash our hands again.”
Gemma (East Village) - Late last month, Pattinson was spotted dining at the Bowery Hotel restaurant with his blonde Remember Me co-star Emilie de Ravin—which makes sense, because the place is dark, sexy, and features “Late Night Bites.”
B Bar & Grill (East Village) - Pattinson was once spotted exiting the East Village eatery and mega-patio at 1:30 in the morning after a night of pizza and Peroni with a crew of friends that included Calvin Klein firebrand Eva Mendes.
The Cabin Down Below (East Village) - In celebration of a friend’s birthday, Pattinson reportedly spent a night holed up in this small model-and-rock star hang in the East Village. At the very least, even if he’s not here, you’re guaranteed to lock eyes with a Stroke or Agyness Deyn.
Don Hill’s (Soho) - This one doesn’t exactly count, because the 23-year-old actor was on site filming a scene with Remember Me co-star Tate Ellington. Still, in its sweaty Squeezebox heyday—and its subsequent rebirth as the home of the MisShapes’ weekly debacle—this would have been a can’t-miss for Pattinson.
Il Cantinori (Greenwich Village) - Pattinson was seen noshing on a Caprese salad and veal entrée in this dimly lit Greenwich Village hotspot. (His merry band of masticators added a modest $50 tip to their $350 bill.)
Black & White (East Village) - Pattinson was instantly noticed by an anonymous fan when he walked into this oft-packed East Village bar. Allegedly, after three beers, he was overheard saying, “I need to stay away from women born after 1988 ... ”
Lure Fishbar (SoHo) - Not surprisingly, this SoHo seafood abattoir is an underground affair, and rumored to have hosted Pattinson during his New York retreat.
The Stanton Social (Lower East Side) - For its “A Night Out With ...” column, The New York Times brought director Catherine Hardwicke and her vegetarian cash cow to this tri-level Lower East Side restaurant, where the group sampled Chef Chris Santos’ macaroni-and-cheese and fish tacos. Later, they headed over to the nearby Death & Co, of which BlackBook said, mistakenly, it’s “vampire-free, at least as far as we can tell—it’s dark in here.”
Cafe Gitane (Nolita) - The breakfast offerings here are unparalleled, the people-watching perches impressive and close friends say they saw Pattinson here. But they also swear that I look cool in hats.

Very informative site.

Robert Pattinson ‘Entertains Kristen Stewart in His Limo’

 http://cdn.showbizspy.com/static/kristenrob.jpg

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart reunited at Comic-Con in San Diego Thursday.
The pair had spent most of the summer apart. Kristen has been in Los Angeles filming Joan Jett biopic The Runaways; Robert has been in New York filming indie drama Remember Me.
After doing their duties promoting Twilight sequel New Moon at the Uber-Hollywood trade show, the pair finally got some alone time.
So, how did the hot, young stars spend it?
In true Hollywood style, of course!
Pattinson, 23, reportedly entertained his rumored lover in his limo back to LA for 3 hours.
Kristen, 19, ditched her own car to ride with Rob, the National Enquirer reports.
At Comic-Con, Kristen was questioned about her relationship with the British actor. She rolled her eyes, laughed and said, “Are you kidding me?”
Rob recently insisted that despite his new-found fame, he is still the same guy.
“I would like to think that I haven’t changed that much,” he said. “Within myself I don’t think I have changed but I guess that outwardly — like when I walk down the street I look down a little more often.
“But this is just extraordinary. I don’t think any of us expected this to happen and it just seems to keep building and building.”

'New Moon' Star Taylor Lautner: 'I'm Asked To Growl A Lot

Excitement is mounting for 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon,' and we're on the Comic-Con red carpet with Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner! Read on to see what secrets they reveal…
Sporting a Joan Jett rocker 'do, Kristen jetted from the set of her rock 'n' roll biopic 'The Runaways' just last night to greet the fans and present exclusive 'New Moon' clips, and she admits that switching gears can be a bit bizarre.

"It's the weirdest thing: I got off work last night at, like, nine o'clock and I got here at, like, 1:30 in the morning," she explains. "Luckily we got to see the clips before they were going to be shown to everyone. It's sort of easy for me to slip in and out of this mode, because I have to do it all the time and I've been doing it for close to two years, so it's sort of second nature, but I sort of wish I could've finished ['The Runaways'] completely. I don't like to interrupt the flow of organic filmmaking."

So what's the strangest thing Taylor's ever experienced at Comic-Con? "I'm asked to growl a lot, and I don't really enjoy doing that," he says. "So I just tell people to wait for the movie to see me growl. We have a lot of fans with crazy experiences."
Taking another bite out of the box office November 20, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' reunites the first film's stars to tell the further tales of star-crossed lovers Bella Swan (Stewart) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). Forced to leave Bella to keep her from danger within his own family on her 18th birthday, Edward and his vampire brood leave the town of Forks, allowing for Bella's werewolf friend, Jacob Black (Lautner), to deepen their friendship and protect her from more deadly vampires. Love triangle alert!

Part of the plot takes Edward and Bella to Italy, and Kristen says of the exotic location, "It was astounding to be there. It was such a change. All of a sudden the movie's going to go from dreary, wet, green, dead to vivid, ancient -- it's just a different world."

And although there were some fun stories from the Italian shoot, unfortunately Taylor didn't actually get to go to that location.

"[The werewolves] didn't get to go to Italy; we were just in the cold, Pacific Northwest," he sighs.
Watch ET for more with the stars of 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'!

15 Things You Should Learn About Robert Pattinson on the 'New Moon' Set

1. Robert Pattinson is a sugar hound. There was a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups wrapper on the seat of Pattinson’s on-set chair and a can of Coke on the armrest. I toyed with the idea of stealing the items for some cash on eBay, but both were gone the next time I walked by. Did he finish them? Throw the rest away? We’ll never know. I drew the line at digging through his garbage.

2. Like the rest of the cast, Pattinson’s canvas director’s chair had his character’s name (that would be “Edward Cullen”) embroidered on the backrest. On Robert’s chair, however, “Edward Cullen” was covered with yellow tape, on which “ROBERT” was written in bold black marker. Seems our fantasy boy likes to keep things "real."

3. I watched Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene and Robert film a scene in the Volturri lair. During this dramatic play-by-play, Robert wears an ankle-length maroon cloak very bathrobe in its design. It appeared to be velvet, but I couldn’t get close enough to touch him. It. I mean it.

4. Edward’s presence in the novel as a disembodied voice in Bella’s head clearly wouldn’t do for fans hungry for some larger-than-life RPattz on the big screen. The filmmakers recognized that a largely Pattinson-less New Moon would do little to satisfy fans; therefore, Edward appears to Bella in vision form. Sexy, sexy vision form.

5. Shooting these vision scenes required a massive (think warehouse-wall-sized) green screen and a camera on tracks that slowly zoomed in towards our boy. I got to watch Robert film one of these apparitions, and while he didn’t actually utter any lines, he did display a series of intense facial expressions. He also sported a very dapper gray suit.

6. Robert seemed ultra-eager to end his work day while filming some of this apparition work. After a particular take, Pattinson consulted with director Chris Weitz. A synopsis:

Weitz: (While inaudible, the director seems to be telling our star that another take is necessary.)

RP: “No! It’s fine, it’s fine!”

Weitz: (Inaudible speaking. Gesturing.)

RP: “F--k.”(Walks back to the set. Steps on his mark. The dolly rolls towards him. RPattz makes a pained-looking face. Weitz yells "Cut!" The whole process takes about seven seconds.)

7. Robert is friendly with his fans. When Rachelle Lefevre, who plays the villainous Victoria, introduced her little sister to the star, he seemed generally affable, shaking her hand and flashing a big smile. Then he laughed, and I think an angel somewhere got its wings.

8. Robert is alarmingly, nerve-wrackingly handsome in person. He also seems to have some sort of gravitational pull, as every woman on set, not limited to, but certainly including me, inched closer to him as covertly as possible when he was in the vicinity. He didn’t seem to care or notice.

9. The picture below (from the March 2009 issue of GQ) hangs in the New Moon production office at Vancouver Sound Studios:

http://images.hollywood.com/cms/300x375/5669455.jpg

There were also pictures of him coming out of the printer as I walked by it. Literally. Everyone in the buzzy office seemed to be as dazzled by him just as we, of the general population, are -- especially the harem of young, attractive women working there.

10. I stood behind Stephenie Meyer while watching Pattinson, Stewart, Ashley Greene, Michael Sheen, Cameron Bright and Dakota Fanning film a scene in the Volturri lair. It went a little something like this:

Edward, Bella and Alice stand in front of the Volturri. Edward, looking many gray shades of haggard, takes a dramatic step toward the vampires and seems to hit an invisible wall. He crumbles to the ground, writhing in pain. Alice, wearing red gloves, crouches down to tend to him.

Bella: “Stop, stop! Try it on me. Just stop hurting him!”

This scene was done at least five times, and despite it taking place on the other side of the set’s massive wall, I could hear the thud of Pattinson’s body hitting the ground each time. There’s no way this felt good. The man suffers for his art.

11. Robert has the confident, swaggering walk of a guy that does well for himself with the ladies. This success surely isn’t hurt by his carved physique, which I was able to thoroughly assess, as Rob’s cloak/robe was tied loosely enough to expose his chest. Although it was painted a vampiric shade of white, it was worth the risk of getting bit for.

12. Regardless of the international pandemonium he causes, Rob is, according to co-star Lafevre, really just a humble, friendly guy.

She says, “Twilight was a very ego-less set, and the thing that’s really a relief is that everyone has stayed the same way. Outside we may be able to go outside and just get in a cab, whereas Rob has to do CIA-evasive maneuvers to meet at the same restaurant, but when we get to the restaurant and we sit down, everything is exactly the same.”

13. People cater to the boy. One of the stage managers made a point of putting together a plate of food for Robert so he wouldn’t miss a meal while filming, saying: “Just tell me what Robert wants, and I’ll set it aside for him.”

This must be what it’s like to be treated like a movie star, as no one offered me anything to eat.

14. Even Taylor Lautner has Pattinson envy. When I asked Lautner the one bonus power he would bestow on Jacob, he responded, “I want to steal one of Edward’s powers.” Seems even werewolves get jealous.

15. The only time I saw the very elusive Kristen Stewart not on a monitor was when she walked by me on her way to the set. She was with Robert. Maybe this means all those secret relationship rumors are true ... nah, I’m pretty sure it was because they were both to be in a scene together. So I'd like to think ...

Peter Facinelli who plays Dr. Carlisle Cullen in “Twilight” and “New Moon” recently sat down with Reelz Channel, and gave a new interview about “New Moon” and his “Showtime” show, “Nurse Jackie”.
He first talked about his character in “Nurse Jackie”. They also showed clips from the “Nurse Jackie” show and the “New Moon” movie in order to illustrate the differences in the two characters he plays, even though they are both doctors. Next, they showed some behind the scenes footage of “New Moon” filming, and how Bella’s house is built. Proof that New Moon's Taylor Lautner is actually a 17 year old boy

A select few press agencies allowed to stalk the set of New Moon are finally able to begin revealing their experiences; all part of a well-schemed plan to provide regular intervals of hype before the flick is released November 20.
Hollywood.com’s Katie Bain was one of said press people, i.e. lucky fans. Her time-by-time blow of her stay on set gives fans a great inside picture of the filming process, with snippets of spoilers strewn along. Particularly noteworthy, however, was her interview with Taylor Lautner.

Taylor is a source of much confusion for mature fans. As Jacob Black, we consider him to be around 25. The problem is that a boy, 16 in Twilight, now 17 years old, plays him. To boot, he has gained 30 pounds of muscle in order to fit Stephenie Meyer’s larger, more muscled Jacob. More discussion on the topic of Taylor/Jacob to come.
That said, this interview deflates the image of sexy, ripped Jacob and scoops out the heart of who Taylor Lautner is. A boy. The “yeahs” and “likes” give it away. But all in all, it’s sweet to hear and makes pictures of the boy with glistening muscles all the more bittersweet.
Bain starts off her synopsis with:
2:50PM Taylor Lautner meets us in the parking lot wearing a sick pair of high-top sneakers and black skinny-leg jeans. He is polite, well-spoken and has perfect skin. Totes dreamy ... for a 17-year-old.
In a nutshell, Taylor says about the film:

What about the wig?
TL: The long hair is definitely a wig. I just wrapped with the wig a few days ago. That was amazing. The whole crew gave an applause. I was so happy.

Are you going to keep it?
TL: They were like, "So do you want to keep it?" and I was like, "If you give it to me I’ll probably burn it."

Have you had a chance to meet (Eclipse director) David Slade yet?
TL: He came up here briefly. I was in the middle of a stunt rehearsal, and he showed up with Wyck [Godfrey], one of our producers, and he was like, “Hey, this is David.” And at this point, he wasn’t signed onto the film, and I had no idea who he was. Then all the sudden he started putting these camera hands in my face like, "Yeah, I think this would be a good angle right here." And I was like, "What is he doing?"

Then finally as he was doing that, Wyck was like, “Oh, I should probably tell you who this is. This is David Slade. He’s probably going to be doing Eclipse." I was like, "Oh, that makes sense now."

What has been your favorite scene to film so far?
TL: I’d either say some cool action scene I got to do, because I really do like the action. Or I really like the breakup scene. We call it the breakup scene. It’s the first time Bella sees Jacob after he’s transformed when she comes to his house. And she sees for the first time his hair is cut, he’s different. He tells her that we shouldn’t be friends. It’s a really emotional scene.

Considering how moody Jacob gets, do you feel bad for Bella at all?
TL: I don’t feel bad one bit. I feel bad for myself. When I was reading the books, I felt so bad for Jacob’s character, but now that I’m actually living him, I feel way worse.
Bella is toying with Jacob. I don’t care if she’s ripped between the two guys. I feel so bad for Jacob because she confuses him. One moment she’ll want to kiss him, and the next moment she’s ditching him for Edward. I understand where Bella’s coming from, and it’s a crappy situation for all of them, but I feel really bad for Jacob.

A lot of fans are really looking forward to the scene in Eclipse where Bella and Jacob finally have the kiss.
TL: Yeah, so am I.

Twilight Saga Unearths New Eclipse Hottie

So this is what the face of an impressionable lad turned corrupted bloodsucker looks like.
It looks fang-licking good, if you ask us!

Summit Entertainment has tapped Australian newcomer Xavier Samuel to play Riley in The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, the third film in the burgeoning franchise based on Stephenie Meyer's megaselling novels, according to the Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog.

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090716/293.samuel.xavier.lr.071609.jpg

As fans of the series know, Riley starts off as a plain old human college student, only to fall under the spell of the increasingly vengeful Victoria and, as a newborn vampire, join her crusade against Bella.
Among the names bandied about for the Riley role were Tom "Draco Malfoy" Felton and Channing Tatum, whom screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg once said would play the part "beautifully."
Well, we think Samuel's doing beautifully so far...

Eclipse is expected to start shooting sometime next month in Vancouver in time for its June 30, 2010, release, while Twilight fans are expected to go into overdrive any day now as they await the Nov. 20 arrival of New Moon.
