On what he ate to gain the 30 lbs required for the new Jacob Black: “I had a snack pack filled with meat patties, raw almonds, sweet potatoes. It’s a lot of protein.”

Twilight Saga: New Moon - The Wolf Pack and Kristen Stewart Speak

Twitter is abuzz with reports from The Twilight Saga: New Moon's press day -- we'll list our recommended tweeters to follow below -- but in the meantime some video interviews with Kristen Stewart and four members of the Wolf Pack just hit online that are sure to get fans talking.

Watch Kristen Stewart's interview here.

Twilight Saga: New Moon Updates: Kristen Stewart Interview

Earlier today, the massive Los Angeles press junket for Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” began. All weekend the cast is going to be doing tons of interviews and I’d imagine you’re going to be reading the coverage on every website you follow. So rather than wait till the week of release, I’m going to be jumping in head first and posting what was said as fast as I can get it done. And up first… Kristen Stewart.

While at last year’s press junket for the first “Twilight” film, I got the sense that the massive worldwide interest was a bit much for this talented young actress. But, on stage today, she not only handled the media like a pro, she seemed a lot more comfortable being closely associated with Bella Swan. In fact, she seemed really happy to be talking about the movie. So if you’d like to read or listen to what Kristen Stewart had to say about “New Moon”, hit the jump and take a look:

As always, you can either read a transcript of the press conference or listen to the audio by clicking here.

Finally, while I’d love to write what I thought about the movie as I saw it last night, Summit Entertainment has given us a strict embargo. Sorry.

Question: A year ago when we talked to you seemed to be a shy, sensitive young actor. How has this past year been for you in terms of this nonstop thing on ‘New Moon’ and you and Rob Pattinson?

Stewart: I think I’ve gotten a lot more comfortable with talking about myself and knowing that what you say people are really going to take into consideration and that always intimidated me so much that I minced every word that came out of my mouth. I couldn’t finish a sentence because I was so concerned about how it was going to sound. I didn’t want to come across insincere about something that I really love to do. So I realized that instead of refraining from saying I’ve put my heart and soul into this thing and I love it, that’s what I should’ve said instead of, like the really logical, over analytical reason why I love it. You just do. I’ve gotten more comfortable with. The whole rumor, tabloid stuff, it’s so obviously false to me. Look, even before I became a part of it, once I sort of became a star…it’s like a show. It’s like a ridiculous show.

Twilight Saga: New Moon Updates: Wolf Pack Improvements

Finally! They've decided to have some improvements in the wolf pack! They change the cuddlier Jacob wolfy to a tougher one. I don't know with you guys, but I find the old one cute instead of deadly and powerful as the book says. Good thing they've made these improvements with the wolf pack. How bout you? Let me know what's your perspective about this stuff. :)

Werewolves vs Vampires:Which side are you?

The Twilight New Moon promotional tour is in full swing with stars Taylor Lautner, Robert Pattinson, and Kristen Stewart circling the globe and doing interviews. Fans are coming out in droves to catch a glimpse of these immensely popular actors. New Moon fever is everywhere. This brings into question who the favorite characters of Twilight New Moon will be. Vampires or Werewolves?

The story in New Moon progresses as Cullen, played by Robert Pattinson, and Bella, played by Kristen Stewart, are less of an item in the New Moon film. Robert Pattinson, who was the main character in the first “Twilight” has more of a supporting role in this film. The leading character is the newly buff and hunky Taylor Lautner, who is a werewolf. The Wolfpack clips that have been released are quickly gaining on the Vampires in terms of popularity.
Fans all over the world are taking sides on which one is their favorite. Either way, it can only spell success for this highly anticipated and marketed film. The November 20th release of Twilight New Moon is sure to be a huge event for Summit Entertainment along with Vampire and Werewolf lovers all everywhere.

Ashley Greene talks Alice Cullen and team Jacob vs. team Edward

This is an exciting time to be a fan of the Twilight Saga. One of the stars of the upcoming film, 'New Moon,' Ashley Greene - in a new interview with Twilight-Review, discusses her role as Alice Cullen, her favorite scenes, and if she is team Jacob or team Edward.

The following is an excerpt from the interview that she did while taking a break from filming scenes for 'Eclipse':

TSR.com: What was your first impression of Twilight when you auditioned?

AG: I never thought is would be something as big, as huge at it is. Twilight is like WOW. I thought it was going to be great and everything, I thought it was going to be something like Scary Movie-famous, but I never thought it was going to be this big, like… don’t know… Harry Potter-famous. Transformers… don’t know. I don’t know if you get my idea, but is awesome being part of something like Twilight and the Saga.

TSR.com: What’s your favorite book in the series?

AG: I’m between New Moon and Eclipse. But I love them all.

TSR.com: Are you Team Edward or team Jacob?

AG: Ughhhh… harsh. I really really adore Rob and Edward’s awesome, but I’m Team Jacob. Is just… You gotta love Taylor, he plays an amazing Jacob, so… my heart belongs to him. Hahaha!

TSR.com: Once you had the role of Alice Cullen, how did you prepare for the role?

AG: I read the book, read my script and talked to Stephenie. She helped me to create the current Alice.

TSR.com: In New Moon Alice plays a larger than in Twilight and a new style. Are you happy with how Alice is evolving in the saga?

AG: Of course! That’s why I like NM and Eclipse more than Twilight and BD! Hahahaha! Kidding. Is awesome, but that also means I have more lines to learn! But I love it, I love my job so, everything’s great.

TSR.com: Are there any traits or similarities between yourself and Alice?

AG: We’re both tiny. Hahaha! Well, Alice’s one happy kid, and I’m a happy person too. I’m like smiling all the time and I really don’t like to see people sad so, I make them laugh and everything. I’m really into fashion, but Alice kick my butt x10 times. She’s a fashionista and I love it. I love her fashion sense and, I want her closet!

TSR.com: Do you think you can relate to Alice? What do you admire most about Alice? Where are you most different?

AG: We really look alike. She’s a loyal girl and she loves her family and friends and I’m like that. I would do everything for them. Now… different… hmmm. She has a boyfriend, I don’t. Hahahaha!

New Moon Photo: Bella and Jacob kiss

A new still leaked from "The Twilight Saga: New Moon" shows Bella drowning her vampire-breakup sorrows in the arms of wolfboy Jacob.

A reader of France's Eparsa magazine scanned and uploaded a number of images from upcoming book "The Twilight Saga: New Moon -- The Official Illustrated Movie Companion," including the smooch shot below. Also scanned were pictures of Bella running to save Edward in Rome (a sequence seen in Death Cab for Cutie's "Meet Me on the Equinox" video).

In "New Moon," a split between Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) leads the human girl closer to werewolf Jacob (Taylor Lautner). Looks like things heat up.

New Moon Photos: Emily, Jared and Embry

Here's a picture of Emily, Jared and Embry, uh of course with the muffins too. Well, this was exactly the scene I've been seeing while reading it in New Moon. Cool. :)

New Moon Spoilers

Here's some New Moon spoilers or I say it's more of a trivia?

Got it from this site.

**While filming the breakup scene in the forest Rob and Kristen were being swarmed by mosquitos.

**When Melissa Rosenberg wrote the Twilight screenplay she “tried to keep the fan base out of (her) head, but (she) couldn’t avoid it by the time of New Moon.”

**She gave the men in Port Angeles motorcycles to make it a more “significant moment” and because motorcycles will become “an important part of her relationship with Jacob”.

**Taylor began working out immediatly after he was done filming Twilight because he knew of the transformation his character would go through. He was able to show the producer’s that he was visual able to represent the changed Jacob.

**In all the “vision” sequences Edward is wearing the same outfit he does when he said “goodbye” to Bella because that is the last memory she holds of him.

**Even the cameras used and their movements are done to show the relationship between the characters.

**They scouted many locations for the Cullen house, but found one that “was comparable enough with the house in Portland.”

**The Cullen house used for Twilight was “a very specific house, and the only way out of that puzzle for us was to put portions of the story of New Moon in other parts of the house”.

**The sequence for the birthday partyl “Edward relates the history of the Volturi to Bella, she becomes wounded in the hand, and Edward faces off against Jasper.”

**Rob quote: “The birthday scene at the Cullen house is like the ideal birthday party. The house is beautifully decorated and everyone is happy. Edward is looking at Bella and thinking that she can become part of his family and his life–that maybe this can work out the way he wants it to.”

**They used the Blue Ray DVD of Twilight to help them with the age, color, texture and features of Bella’s house and room.

**They used the Twilight Illustrated Companion for help finding Bella’s truck

MAJOR VISUAL SPOLER:

**One special challenge for the production team was how to convey Bella’s depression once Edward departs. In the books..the month pages do it. (October, November, December, January) In the film the passage of time is represented with visual effects. Bella sits in her chair in the bedroom and a camera circles around here while the seasons change outside her window.

**Another shot manipulation, instead of Bella running to her truck and driving home after seeing the wolves in the meadow, she runs out of the woods and tells Charlie immediatly that she saw them. Changes made to make the scene more efficient.

**The dreamcatcher stirs up emotions in all the major characters: Jacob says it will catch bad dreams. Edward is irritated that his rival gave Bella an intimate gift, and Charlie regrets that it stops working.

**Film Editor Peter Lambert edited a portion of the film during his daily commute. This may be the first major motion picture in which the bigest protion of the first assembly of the film was edited in the backseat of a car.

**As a sign that Bella is commited to Edward her clothes are linked to his color wise. After he leaves she doesn’t pay much attention to her appearance.

**They wanted Jacob’s house to be “like a stepping stone into the forest world”. So it’s further from the heart of the reservation.

**Emily and Sam’s house is deeper in the forest, more seperate from regular life.

**art director Cathrerine Ircha helped make sure the prodcutions maintained “fan friendly continutiy”. She kept an eye on fan sites and blogs .

**when they are rebuilding the bikes there is a montage of scenes.

3 in 1 New Moon Trailer!

Mash-up of three trailers for 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon'

With the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon, fans got a glimpse at the birthday and papercut fiasco, the break-up, Laurent, and Jacob as a werewolf. In the "Meet Jacob Black" feature, Jacob was put under a brighter spotlight, with Taylor Lautner narrating the transition of Jacob throughout the film. With the third trailer, so many more details and scene shots were introduced - particularly with regard to the Volturi, Bella's hallucination-seeking, and Edward's encounter with Italian "royalty."

Some of the scenes between these three were repeated, and some intermixed. In any case, there is certainly a timeline that can be drawn through the various snippets presented in the three trailers.
A proactive YouTuber has taken the time to mash together these three trailers in what he or she perceives to be the correct schematic film timeline. From the looks of things, it's not far from the mark!

Kristen Stewart ‘Scared of Vampires’

http://cdn.showbizspy.com/static/ALO-0805322.jpg

The actress — who plays Bella in the vampire movie franchise Twilight — apparently keeps pouches of garlic everywhere — including in her car, her dressing room and on her bedroom door.
“People are always remarking how smelly it is, but Kristen doesn’t care,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She’s been afraid of vampires for years, even before she signed up to do the movies, and read somewhere that garlic is supposed to repel them.”
Although Kristen might be scared of vampires, the 19-year-old — who’s currently dating her Twi costar Robert Pattinsondoes admit she finds them sexy.
“Well, classically vampires are meant to draw you in, just to the point where they have you in a complete submitting state to where they can kill you,” Kristen recently revealed.
“So that’s a bit sexy, to give yourself to something to accept, to let something take over. It’s forbidden fruit, something you can’t have but you want more.”

Robert Pattinson versus Susas Boyle: Twilight crew take a run at Internet ascendancy.

As though the Irish didn't have enough to worry about, what with their tanking economy and all, now they've found a new threat to give reason to drown themselves in their pints of Guinness. Irishcentral.com reports that Robert Pattinson's Team Twilight threatens to pilfer Susan Boyle's YouTube hits crown.
Say it ain't so, Muldoon.

And why is Ireland all aquiver as Twilight sequel New Moon trailers are poised to exceed Boyle's I Had a Dream excerpt from Britain's Got Talent in the Internet sweepstakes?
It's more than Celtic unity. The website points out that the erstwhile Scottish songstress is actually...wait for it...the daughter of Irish parents. So her stunning record of 286 million YouTube hits being challenged by Englishman Pattinson and crew's 220 million hits is cause for distress. And since, New Moon isn't due for release until Nov. 20, Boyle's triumph appears in jeopardy as English perfidy again threatens the noble Irish ramparts - this time in cyberspace.

The Celts won't buckle to the Twihard Army without a mouse-driven donnybrook, though. The call is out to Irish and Scot patriots, at home and in exile, to take up their desktops, laptops, iPhones and other digital weaponry and click, click, click on Susan's song until I Dreamed a Dream regains its legendary velocity.
Will the Twilight crowd respond to the rebel challenge? Currently shooting the third of the Twilight tome, Eclipse, in Vancouver, the brooding Pattinson has revealed nothing of his Internet strategy.
As for Susan Boyle, her dream refuses to die.

Robert Pattinson VS Susan Boyle? I'll go with Susan for now. lol

The Vampire Vocabulary

Unlock your inner vampire vocabulary - Defining Twilight
http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/defining_twilight(3).jpg

It seems as though the fascination with vampires has actually inspired a remarkable technique for learning. Brian Leaf has compiled 600 vocabulary words taken from Stephenie Meyer's Twilight book to help master standardized tests. Although the book cover states that it is a vocabulary workbook for unlocking the SAT, ACT, GED, and SSAT, it can be very helpful to anyone who wants to improve their vocabulary skills.
Defining Twilight is an ingenious way to capture the attention of anyone who is interested in the Twilight saga. Using the Defining Twilight book in conjunction with a copy of Twilight, one can become very well versed in new terminology. Brian follows Defining Twilight with Defining New Moon which will be released in October. If you are in the minority and have not read the Twilight saga, then you should start reading and grab your copies of Defining Twilight and Defining New Moon to go along with it to improve your vocabulary skills. Who knows when knowing the color ocher might come in handy?

So, unlock your inner vampire and learn the meanings of words that Edward and other Twilight vampires have used. If you do, when you read Twilight again you might just understand it a little more.

'Eclipse' Director David Slade Posts Taylor Lautner Set Pics

http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/movies/e/eclipse/taylor_backflip_david_spade_twitter/281x211.jpg

Here at MTV News, we wouldn't want to imagine a world without "Twilight" or Twitter. It would be an unforgiving world, devoid of our favorite vampire/human love story and the easiest way for those involved in the saga's movie franchise to communicate with fans. The dual forces of "Twilight" and Twitter combined over the weekend to deliver some excellent updates about "Eclipse," the third film in the series, which is currently in production in Vancouver.
On Saturday, director David Slade posted a close-up head shot of Taylor Lautner, who plays werewolf Jacob Black. "Mr. Taylor Lautner," Slade explained. "A photo I took during early camera lighting tests. Not a whisker in sight."

Saturday was also a day for rehearsals with Kristen Stewart (Bella), Rob Pattinson (Edward) and Billy Burke (Bella's father). How do we know? Slade tweeted about it: "Third week of shooting just hours away. Preparation, preparation, preparation."
The next day, Slade posted another picture of Lautner, though this one didn't even show his face. What it did show was the actor in midair in a forest, flipping upside down with one leg sticking into the air. Pretty cool stuff.

"Yes, that is him mid back flip," Slade wrote. "He does it from standing still."
The director wasn't the only Twilighter using social networking over the last few days to share info. Burke tweeted that he arrived in Vancouver on Friday night and had to rest up for an early start on Saturday.
"Someone gets a cap and gown," he wrote, hinting about a scene he'd be shooting. (Sure enough, photos of a graduation ceremony shoot popped up over the weekend.)
And while many of the film's stars are active on Twitter, Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale) commandeered co-star Peter Facinelli's account to make one thing clear.
"Hi, Nikki Reed here," she wrote. "Sitting with Fach. Just searched and found dozens of posers. I don't have Twitter. Please don't follow them!!! Scary!"

Taylor Lautner's Fans Sometimes "Stop Breathing" When They See Him!

taylorinterview.jpg

Taylor Lautner - who's still only 17 - sits down for an interview with Interview magazine, dishing about the Twilight series, how he had to bulk up for the New Moon sequel (the kid gained 30 pounds!) and what it's like having so many sudden fans...

Apparently, there are two types of fans: "The cries, who come around quite often," says Taylor, and "the hyperventilators, who stop breathing and have to have a medic come." Whoa, that's a little intense!

But what we really wanna know is if he hangs out with Rob Pattinson and Kristen Stewart off set! "The whole cast is really close," Taylor admits. "If we’re out at dinner, we’ll just randomly start talking about the scene we’re shooting the next day."

Aww, sounds like one big, happy family!

Except for the whole love triangle thing.

New 'New Moon' Trailer Includes More Edward, More Volturi

Fans asked and Summit Entertainment has delivered. The second full-length "New Moon" trailer contains everything the first teaser trailer and the "Meet Jacob Black" trailer have not: more Volturi, more werewolves and more visions of Edward. The newest trailer is being shown before screenings of "Sorority Row" (out today), but an extended version will also be exclusively shown at the VMAs on Sunday, presented by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.

Download our special "New Moon" countdown widget here to be sure you don't miss the start of the VMAs. Once the super-exclusive trailer airs on TV, it will turn into a video player, for your viewing, and re-viewing, pleasure!

If the focus of the "New Moon" teaser trailer was on the breakup, and the focus of "Meet Jacob Black" was, obviously, to introduce a new werewolf Jacob, then the focus of this newest trailer is on what comes next. Most of the clip is set in Italy at the end of the film, when Bella is (spoiler!) trying to stop Edward from killing himself by turning himself over to the Volturi.

But there is much more to the trailer than just Alice's shiny yellow Porsche. The element that will probably get the most people excited is the inclusion of Dakota Fanning as the evil vampire Jane (only briefly glimpsed in the last trailer), who has the power to create illusions of pain. The new trailer opens up with a shot of her in Volturi garb and then shows the rest of the Volturi guard before revealing Michael Sheen's Aro — the head of the Volturi — snapping a poor human's neck.

The trailer then hits lightly on Edward breaking up with Bella and the heartbreaking shot of her lying bereft on the forest floor. But it quickly moves on to Bella seeing a vision of Edward with his car at Forks High, and then we see Jacob comforting her after the fact. One of the locations the twosome are sitting at is the movie theater in the scene Mike Welch and Taylor Lautner fought so hard to keep in the film.

Director Chris Weitz showed how he kicked the CGI up to the next level by including clips of Bella trying to outrace visions of Edward on her motorcycle and a lot more of the cliff jump than was showed in "Meet Jacob Black." It is almost a work of art as Bella is floating under the water and sees Edward hovering upside down next to her after her jump. When an arm comes to pull her out of the water, she reaches out to touch Edward, and the illusion gets muddled and washed away.

The rest of the trailer revolves around Alice telling Bella about Edward's plan, Bella's epic run to save him, hints of some abs as Edward prepares to walk shirtless into the sunlight and some shots of the Volturi looking ready to kill spliced with a full wolf pack transformation. Bella's token line, "No, Edward, don't!" is thrown in for good measure, and the trailer ends on a high note, with Jane stating, "This may hurt just a little."

It will be interesting to see what extra footage will be added to the trailer at the VMAs, though an extension of any of the scenes shown will be something to look forward to. In the spirit of "Twilight Saga" clips shown at MTV awards shows, whatever is shown is sure to be enough to whip fans into a frenzy.

The new and improved look for Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen from 'Twilight' to 'New Moon'

 http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/Alice1(3).jpg

Of course, Twilight star Ashley Greene is incredibly gorgeous. The twenty-two year old actress could easily traipse around town in a paper sack and still be a thing of significant beauty.
Her character, Alice Cullen, is quite the same, according to the books. Graceful, sweet, beautiful, and charming, Alice is a character that embodies the Shakespearian notion of life as a stage.
Another important feature about Alice Cullen is the fact that she has an impeccable sense of style and glamour. Throughout the novels, her interest in fashion becomes more and more explored, and we get to know Alice Cullen as the fashionista that she is by the time Breaking Dawn rolls around.
In Stephenie Meyer's original Chapter 20 for Twilight entitled "Flight," an outtaken sequence involving Alice and Bella would have revealed, early on, that aspect of her character. Said Meyer about the deletion, "This chapter slowed down the page of the "hunt" part of the story, but I feel like I cut out a lot of Alice's personality when I sacrificed it."
In later books, to be sure, that part of her personality was clearly revealed, even to the extent of Edward explaining that his entire family's wardrobe is compliments of Alice's handiwork.
In Twilight, though, Alice's style might've been a little underplayed. The Twilight Saga: New Moon, on the other hand, seems to be vamping up that presentation.

This photograph, thanks to Twilighters Anonymous and the Lion Lamb Community, shows a much more fashionable Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen.
Trimmed with all of the accessories and extras known to be regarded by Greene's character, it is clear from this photo that the spotlight on Alice's clothing prowess is coinciding nicely with the development of that factor in the book series.

OMG! Ashley Green is so damn gorgeous! And her looks as Alice is indeed better here in New Moon photo than Twilight!

Twilight: New Moon - Taylor Lautner Kristen Stewart kiss pic

http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/kristaylorkiss281x211.jpg

The New Moon trailer was entitled “Meet Jacob Black” omitted much, five crucial things, according to MTV movie news as reported below:  (Meet Jacob Black 2nd official trailer can be watched at the end of this article.)
The Cliff Dive — Kristen Stewart told us long ago that Bella’s pivotal cinematic near-suicide will be CGI, and we’ve got to admit: We’re still a bit concerned. Fan-made videos like this one give us an idea of some things to expect from what could be the most powerful moment in “New Moon,” but so far, nothing official. Come on, Chris Weitz — cough it up!

Fight Scenes — Although Catherine Hardwicke’s “Twilight” won the hearts of millions of women, it won’t be stealing men away from sports and “Star Trek” sequels anytime soon. Now, with male directors in place for the next two films — and increasingly darker, more action-oriented plotlines to come — it’s time to start convincing the dudes that seeing “New Moon” will do more than put you in your lady’s good graces. But what have we glimpsed so far? Shirtless Jacob, shirt-open Edward, shirtless wolf pack. “Fight Club” gave the same number of abs, but also brought along just as many punches to the face — so bring back the honey and chicken, already!

The Vanishing Volturi — As any good Twilighter knows, the Volturi feature prominently not only in “New Moon,” but also in the overall arc of the “Twilight” saga. So, why have they become the J.D. Salinger of the film series? We want full-on, official shots of Aro, Caius, Marcus and the rest. No more slowing down video clips to see if that’s Michael Sheen in the background — it’s time to bring out the big guns.
“New Moon” Trailer: Meet Jacob Black

Quil Be Seeing You — Everybody’s got their own favorite quasi-obscure “Twilight” character, and mine is Jacob’s “wingman” Quil Ateara. We know he’s played by Tyson Houseman in the film, but we haven’t seen so much as a publicity shot yet. Sure, some might laugh — but I’ll be wearing a “Team Quil” shirt when I see the film on opening night. Which reminds me of a second complaint: Why has no one invented “Team Quil” T-shirts yet?

It Ain’t Easy Being Human— They’re the nicest people in the world and the backbone of the “Twilight” film series: Mike Welch, Christian Serratos, Justin Chon, Anna Kendrick, Billy Burke and others. But although these fan favorites are among the most visible at “Twilight” conventions and other events, we haven’t seen so much as a glimpse of them in the “New Moon” trailers. It’s bad enough that these guys don’t get to pretend they have superhuman powers, the ability to live forever or even a clue as to all the craziness going on in Forks. “Twilight” is nothing without the humanity that Stephenie Meyer injected into it — here’s hoping that Weitz remembers that element as he’s working all those long hours and late nights in the “New Moon” editing bay.”

Despite what MTV claims is missing, the trailer has plenty of eye candy including the ripped bod of Taylor Lautner, a love-torn Robert Pattinson and new cast member, Dakota Fanning. Regardless of what MTV news feels is lacking, fans will be sure to get the full fill of Team Jacob and Team Robert in the sequel. Most fans have stated that they are having mixed feelings about Bella being with Taylor and having Edward leave Bella but only time will tell at the box-office. A movie trailer should only give hints as to what the film will entail, not tell the entire story in a few moments.  Its a good thing that these five things are missing from the trailer, if they were all in the advertisement, what would be left to see in the actual movie? Devoted fans are counting the days until it opens and the numbers will be a tell-tale sign whether the film lacks or not.

"The Twilight Saga: Eclipse" casts Leah and Seth Clearwater

http://image3.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/eclipse-book-cover(1).jpg

Filming is underway on the set of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and according to several sources, the much-coveted roles of Leah and Seth Clearwater have been cast.

As fans know, Summit Entertainment held an open casting call for the roles back in June, and until now, no official announcements had been made in regards to casting. But according to Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood, Julia Jones and BooBoo Stewart are filling the roles of Leah and Seth.

Jones is a model/actress and has appeared in several episodes of ER. Stewart has an impressive resume for having only been born in 1994. He's appeared in episodes of Everybody Hates Chris and Dante's Cove.
What do you think of the cinematic Seth and Leah?

The Volturi Coven Photos

Michael Sheen as Aro, leader of the Volturi, in Summit Entertainment’s The Twilight Saga: New Moon - 2009
2rh4lz8
As if James, Victoria and Laurent weren’t menacing enough, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’ introduces us to a new band of baddies far more eeeeeevil: the Volturi.
Allow us to reveal the first official image of Caius, the most sadistic of the ancient Italian vampire coven. Caius is played by Jamie Campbell Bower, who knows a thing or two about bloody good times from his stint as Anthony Hope in ‘Sweeney Todd,’ and will also soon be seen as Gellert Grindelwald in the ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ movies (can he and R. Patz broker peace between warring fan armies?)
So what else do you need to know about Caius? This ominous vamp was born in a suburb of Cincinnati in 1988, is a Libra, and enjoys snowboarding, Fruit Roll-Ups and old re-runs of ‘Blossom.’ (Kidding!)
Caius was born around 1300 BC, though the date of his transformation and his special powers are unknown. But we do know that he really, really wants to kill Bella, Edward, and Alice. And we’re not going to lie, he looks pretty good for a 3,300-year-old.

MARCUS
Full Name: Marcus
Status: Vampire
Group: Volturi Coven
Date of Birth: Around 1300 BC
Date of Transformation: Unknown
Special Abilities: He sees the strength of the relationships between people.

Jane is a high ranking member of the Volturi Guard. The Volturi were waiting to change her and her brother Alec until she was older, but humans—believing her and her brother to be witches—tried to burn them at the stake, which forced Aro to act while the twins were little more than children. Jane’s experience with the pain of burning alive shaped her into a potent weapon – she developed the ability to inflict immense pain on others with only a look.
alec_full
In this promo pic, the 16-year-old Canadian is wearing an obviously darker suit, but he’s nonetheless a solid match for the eternally youthful vamp. His is said to be the following: “The Volturi were waiting to change Alec and his twin sister Jane until they were older, but humans tried to burn them at the stake, so the Volturi were forced to ‘change’ them while they were young. Since acquiring Alec and Jane, the Volturi have seldom needed to fight — their victims are simply slaughtered.”

Breaking Dawn 100% confirmed!

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090810/425.pattinson.stewart.reed.hardwicke.rathbone.081009..jpg

For all of you nervous Nellies who need everything to be 100 percent confirmed to believe it (that would be you, Robsten doubters), Summit has officially announced that Breaking Dawn is a go.
Like we told you months ago, Summit and the cast were onboard for the fourth film and they damn well planned to pump out this franchise basically as fast as possible. Why? Because the horny cast can't keep off each other—that's why. And that so hasn't changed, darlings. If anything, it's only gotten more twisted. So these movies need to get wrapped pronto before the cast really starts pissing each other off. Just ask Terry Tush-Trade, Twyla Babe-Sucker, Julie Bone Jumper and then some.
So is B.D. still on track to be PG like screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg dished a while back? And are any castmembers getting axed à la Rachelle Lefevre?
First up: Deep Twi tells us that execs over at the studio know their audience. And it's hardly just made up of 13-year-old girls. Don't expect an R rating or anything, but as far as we've heard, the film will retain the original book's "sexual heat."
Too dee-lish. Flying feathers, broken headboard, plus, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart equals box-office gold.
As for which castmembers will return?
"Everyone will be back," Deep Twi assures us.
We know Rob has already agreed, and since Kristen "can't wait to get pregnant" we're gonna go out on a limb and saying she's def not going anywhere. Ditto for Taylor Lautner.
And when we chatted with Ashley Greene last month, she not only confirmed the fourth movie would happen, but that it would happen fast, so she's obviously safe too. And sorry—but Nikki Reed def isn't going anywhere either. Why get rid of the hot be-yotch who keeps the tab controversy going? Not in this town, babes.
In fact, according to Deep Twi, dates for Breaking Dawn haven't been locked in yet because the studio wants to ensure the entire cast will be good to go.
Hooray! That's good news right? Or would you like to see any of your fave cast replaced?

Twilight Saga: Eclipse Finds Its Vampire Maria

http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news/aug09/catalinamoreno.jpg

Now that Twilight sequel New Moon is edging closer to its November release date, eyes are turning to the third film, Eclipse, which begins lensing in Vancouver in just a few more days. Casting updates have been coming in fast and furious for the new installment helmed by David Slade, including this latest bit on who would be portraying the vampire Maria.

Per THR's Risky Biz Blog, Catalina Sandino Moreno, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Maria Full of Grace and also appeared in Steven Soderbergh's epic Che, has been tapped to portray yet another Maria, described as a woman who tries to create a newborn army of vampires, recruiting the Confederate soldier Jasper (Jackson Rathbone) to her cause.

Moreno's casting adds further gravitas to Eclipse, which is shaping up to be the most talent-laden chapter in the series what with Slade at the controls and heavyweights like Bryce Dallas Howard and the recently announced Jack Huston filling in the gaps around established leads Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Ashley Greene, and Taylor Lautner.

I suspect we'll be hearing lots more on this one between now and its June, 2010 debut.

Robert Pattinson thinks Twilight fans are hot

And here’s something flattering for all Twilight Saga fans out there, something to keep the fire burning, you know.

While accepting his Choice Male Hottie award at 2009 on Sunday had a pretty laconic speech to thank everyone for the award.

However he used his chance to express his gratitude to all the Twilight Saga fans for their love and support saying that to him Twilight fans “are the hottest hotties and the hottest teens.”

Now, are you a hot Twilight fan? :)

Taylor Lautner Talks 'New Moon' Wolf Pack

Get ready to meet the werewolves of New Moon, which hits theaters on November 20.

Taylor Lautner, aka Jacob Black, spilled some details about his buff buddies at the Teen Choice Awards on Sunday night.

He explained to MTV, "He's pissed off a lot in this movie. He is pissed off for many different reasons." So for that reason, he needs some friends to back him up.

"We've got Sam Uley, who leads the pack. We all follow him. He's the alpha. And then we've got Jared and Paul—Jared is a funny guy, a real jokester—and Bronson [Pelletier], who plays him, in real life is the same way, so he does that well. Paul is the hothead. He goes out with my girl, and I tear him to shreds. And then there's Kiowa [Gordon] who plays Embry—he's my best friend."

He also dished about an altered scene in the movie, which slightly changes the character of Quil Ateara to reflect his "smoothness" with the ladies, or funny lack thereof.

"Me and Bella—I'm sorry, Bella and I—are working on the bikes, and Embry and Quil come in," Lautner explained. "Quil's checking out Bella [and trying to be smooth] and is like, 'Hey, I'm Quil. Quil Ateara.' It's a really funny scene, and the two were really great in it."

Taylor Lautner thanks his 'Twilight' fans. That means you!

Taylor Lautner was excited to see the whole "Twilight" cast again at Sunday night's Teen Choice Awards and again he praised the trilogy's amazing fan support.
And for the umpteenth time, yes, they were all amazed at how popular the first Twilight" was....
C'mon, there's "New Moon" coming and they're already shooting "Eclipse."

Ashley Greene hits the gym for Eclipse!

http://image2.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/Ashley_Greene_of_Eclipse.jpg

Twilight star Ashley Greene has been hitting the gym recently to prepare for the grueling fight sequences in Twi sequel Eclipse, which will begin production Aug. 17 through Oct. 31 in Vancouver.
Greene, 22, plays the pixie-ish vampire Alice Cullen in Twilight and its sequels New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, which are being filmed back-to-back. Because the sequels are more action-oriented than the original film, several members of the ensemble cast have been feverishly working out for their roles.
Ashley told RadarOnline that she has been working out with a personal trainer, doing yoga, kayaking and lots of cardio.
"I usually do Pilates," she said. "But I worked with an amazing trainer who really catered my workouts to what I like to do. He'd say, 'you like to go kayaking? Let's go kayaking."

Similarly, Greene's co-star, Taylor Lautner, has also had to step up his workouts to play the hulking shape-shifting werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight sequels. Lautner, 17, has gained 30 lbs. of muscle over the past few months by working out constantly and eating around the clock.
The unexpected mainstream popularity of the Twilight franchise will keep its young cast busy (and buff!) until at least 2010. Production on New Moon has just wrapped, and its sequel, Eclipse, is set to begin shooting soon. After that, Breaking Dawn, the fourth and final installment in the best-selling Twilight book series, will begin shooting.

All the Twilight sequels are scheduled to be released back-to-back, with New Moon slated for release in November 2009; Eclipse set for June 2010 and Breaking Dawn the following fall.

Is Twilight author Stephanie Meyer a plagiarist?

http://image2.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/stephanie-meyer-3.jpg

Plagiarism is serious business. It's pretty odd when creative writers sink to that level, but from my own experience as an under and post grad writing student, you'd be shocked how many people, devoid of ideas, sink to that level.
So did Stephanie Meyer plagiarize passages from Breaking Dawn? Author Jordan Scott certainly thinks so, issuing a cease-and-desist letter after he noticed that her books share more than a passing resemblance to his novel, The Nocturne.
Sure, it's easy to accuse Scott of trying to jump all over Meyer long after she's become successful, for financial gain or to bump his own book sales. But this should certainly be looked into. After all, consider the case of Kaavya Viswanathan, the Harvard sophomore whose young adult novel, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild and Got A Life, triggered alarms for several of her fellow students, who were, well, shocked that someone they deemed mediocre so easily got a multi-book deal. A bit of research uncovered that she'd stolen entire passages and the plot points from a relatively unknown writer,  Megan McCafferty. Viswanathan insisted she's merely 'absorbed' the author's style and writing. Verdict: stolen.
Being unfamiliar with both The Nocturne and Breaking Dawn, I'll have to wait and see what the evidence is against Meyer. Several people unsuccessfully sued J.K Rowlings following the epic success of the Harry Potter series for similar reasons. As many articles point out, the wording in vampire novels tends to be, well, cliche, so sometimes things sound the same, But how much is too much?

Eclipse Casting News and Breaking Dawn Legal Woes

http://www.dreadcentral.com/img/news/aug09/jodelle.jpg

Bryce Dallas Howard isn't the only new name attached to the third installment in the Twilight Saga, David Slade's Eclipse. The news came down today that Jodelle Ferland from Silent Hill, The Messengers, and upcoming The Cabin in the Woods has joined the cast as well.

Variety posted the following description of Ferland's character: a vampire who has just been turned. Not much to go on, but those of you who are familiar with the story should have some idea of who that might be.
Meanwhile, Stephenie Meyer, author of the four Twilight books that started this craziness in the first place, and her publisher, Little, Brown & Co. (part of the Hachette Book Group), are beset with legal woes. Jordan Scott is claiming that Meyer's final chapter in the Twilight collection, Breaking Dawn, bears a striking resemblance to her novel The Nocturne, originally published in 2006. MTV provides a pretty good synopsis of the situation, including this statement from Hachette's attorney:

"Neither Stephenie Meyer nor her representatives had any knowledge of this writer or her supposed book prior to this claim. Ms. Scott's attorney has yet to furnish us with a copy of the book to support this claim as requested. The world of the 'Twilight Saga' and the stories within it are entirely the creation of Ms. Meyer. Her books have been a phenomenal sensation, and perhaps it shouldn't be surprising to hear that other people may seek to ride the coattails of such success. This claim is frivolous and any lawsuit will be defended vigorously."

New New Moon Posters With Rob Pattz and K.Stew

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090803/293.newmoon.poster.pattinson.robert..lc.080309.jpg

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090803/293.newmoon.poster.stewart.kristen.lc.080309.jpg

Ahhh! New New Moon stuff. Does anyone ever get tired of how much new New Moon stuff there seems to be every day? Didn't think so, which is good because we need more Twilight on this site.

Today in our endless documentation of new New Moon stuff, we have a couple of lovely movie posters featuring our two favorite Twilight kids doing what they do best—looking moody.

First up, one Mr. Edward Cullen. So pretty, right? It's real artwork like how they used to do it before computers. They'll probably put this in a museum one day.

And that's not all we have. What is a sparkly vampire without his lamb?

Oh, oops! Did we just interrupt Bella in the middle of some very serious soul-searching? She looks pretty annoyed. Sorry, Bella! You can go back to your Paramore jams, we'll just go back to staring at Rob Pattz.

Rumor: Three Twilight Breaking Dawn Films

http://acplteens.files.wordpress.com/2008/08/200px-breaking_dawn_cover4.jpg

A report has sprung up at the Acting 411 Blog claiming the final Twilight book, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, will be split into three films. The original Twilight, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse, set to start shooting this month, are all single films. The report claims "sources" provided the information but does not list them, hardly a ringing endorsement for fact without the backing of an official Summit announcement. If you take a step back and put yourself in Summit's news, the theoretical move makes all the sense in the world.
The Twilight phenomena has reached astronomical proportions, bolstered this past week by sales of Stephanie Meyer's Twilight novels surpassing Harry Potter. Unlike Potter which Warner Bros. Pictures has turned into eight films, there are only four Twilight books to work from.
By breaking the final Twilight film into three parts shot concurrently, Summit Entertainment can effectively triple their earnings from the single purchase price for the rights to the Breaking Dawn book. More importantly, they can stretch out Twilight into 2012 if necessary and use every day between now and then to draw in new fans and sell multiple versions of the previously released Twilight films on home video.
Also think of how many now 6 to 8 year-old girls can be exposed to Twilight with a couple extra years in the mainstream media. Better practice covering your ears now, just in case.

3 Breaking Dawn movies? What do you think guys? Hmm.

Recasting leaves 'Twilight' fans dissatisfied

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/lefevrehoward.jpg

If you know anything about hardcore fans (think Star Trek or Lord of the Rings), you know they generally don’t react well to change, especially when that change comes at them like a runaway starship. Twilight fans are no exception, and they’ve just been hit with a big one: Rachelle Lefevre will no longer be playing the role of the vampire Victoria; instead, the part will be taken by Bryce Dallas Howard.

The news hit the web at around 9:00 Tuesday night, and the fandom was pierced with the screams of a million fangirls. Half of them checked their calendars to make sure it wasn’t April; the other half stared at their computer screens in shock. “I knew I felt a ripple in the twiverse!” one fan quipped via Twitter (Bryce Dallas Howard became a trending topic within an hour of the announcement);

however, not all reactions were as lighthearted. Anger, shock, and sadness seemed to be the most common among fans lucky (or unlucky) enough to get the news first; disbelief came in right behind. Even the fact that the news came from trusted and respected sites like the Twilight Lexicon wasn’t enough to dispel that “April Fool’s” feeling among many a fan. Unfortunately, once the shock died down a few hours later, reality began to sink in.

“It’s wrong to replace her!” many fans raged. “I can’t see anyone else in that role,” others complained. Some started thinking long-term: “Will Ron Howard direct Breaking Dawn?” The reactions have been numerous and varied, but the underlying confusion of the fans’ outcries is clear: why is Lefevre being replaced?

The news came directly from the bigwigs at Summit Entertainment, the studio that produces the Twilight saga. The press release was lengthy and touted Howard’s acting experience in films such as Terminator Salvation and The Village, standard for this sort of thing, but surprisingly, it’s not Howard’s talent that has everyone up in arms. Rather, the too-short explanation of Lefevre’s replacement (“scheduling conflicts”) has left fans feeling shortchanged.

Those who managed to quickly regain control of their emotions went in search of answers. Rumors flooded the fandom within hours: Lefevre wanted to leave; Summit asked her to leave; she’s trying to “buy” a part in another film by giving up her vampire role. Of course, everything is speculation until either Summit or Lefevre decides to make further comment on the issue, but until that time, Twilight fans will be making their feelings known.

“If the fans found out about what [Summit was] up to we would have stopped them like Taylor,” declared one fan, referring to last year’s uproar over Summit’s original intention to replace Taylor Lautner (Jacob in the films) because of his then-lacking physique. (In another drastic change that enraged fans, “scheduling conflicts” also lead to director Catherine Hardwicke leaving the helm of the blockbuster series last December.)

Summit seems to be taking the brunt of the blame in the early hours of this fandom explosion (“This is why I dislike that studio VERY MUCH!” commented a fan), but we can only wait and see if they decide to clear up the issue or not. Either way, they’ve just managed to rile up some very passionate fans who won’t be letting this go for quite some time.

Update 07/29: Rachelle Lefevre has issued a personal statement to Access Hollywood, claiming that she was "stunned by Summit’s decision to recast the role of Victoria."
