Twilight Make-up to Offer New Moon Lips of Robert Pattinson in a Bottle?

Since the release of Twilight in 2008, we’ve seen everything from Twilight Saga T-shirts, Twilight action figures, and plush toys to the Twilight DVD and posters. But that’s just the tip of the Twilight Saga merchandise iceberg as the Stephenie Meyer based Twilight sequel, New Moon, creeps closer to its November theatrical release. Still, the scramble is on to find the next great Twilight product tie-in and the latest is a Twilight Saga make-up line that may be the next big Twilight thing that New Moon fans embrace.
As word of the new Twilight make-up line comes down the New Moon pike, we can't think of too many Twilight fans, especially the younger Twilighters, who wouldn’t want to apply the same make-up used in New Moon to give the vampire characters that anemic, full-lipped look. Whether this turns out to be a huge Twilight Saga marketing boom remains to be seen, but all Twilight fanatics out there will be able to get their hands on a Twilight inspired make-up line from DuWop, the same company that gave us Lip Venom and supplied the cosmetics to the New Moon production and gave Robert Pattinson those blood red lips.
According to recent online reports, it appears the Twilight version of Lip Venom will be separated so that half of the plumper will look like blood, which means it won’t be long before everyone we pass on the street will either look like they bit their lip or just slurped back a cherry popsicle.
So now that we’ll be able to get the same lips as Robert Pattinson from New Moon, where will all of this Twilight merchandise make-up lead? It's certainly possible that by the time the third Twilight Saga film, Eclipse, is in full production swing, we'll see a huge real life Cullen clan of Twilight fans with blood red lips with accompanying pale white vampire foundation. Perhaps the early Bella Swan look of Kristen Stewart may be the better way to go in the end.

New Moon star Ashley Greene hints that there will be a fourth Twilight movie, Breaking Dawn

http://image.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/AP_CP(1).jpg

When discussing the efficacy of a supposed Remember Me star Robert Pattinson and The Runaways star Kristen Stewart (co-stars on The Twilight Saga: New Moon and The Twilight Saga: Eclipse) off-set romance, Ashley Greene made an interesting suggestion.

Said she, according to TransWorldNews, "“They're great on-screen, and obviously they get along. But maybe they should just not be a couple until after the fourth movie, ‘Breaking Dawn.’”

While no official confirmation has issued as to whether or not The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn (based on Stephenie Meyer's fourth book, Breaking Dawn) will be made, and Twilight fans wait patiently in the rafters for a decision to be made on the matter, Ashley Greene's statements seem confident that the film will, indeed, come into being.

Most Twilight series fans would love nothing more than to know that the saga of Edward Cullen and Bella Swan will come to a close on-screen with Breaking Dawn, so this news is, once again, a matter of encouragement for those who do.

However, and one should always remember this, this is not an official confirmation by Summit Entertainment about The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn, and one should continue to wait for such.

David Slade Talks The Twilight Saga: Eclipse

http://twilight-review.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/05/eclipse1.jpg

FEARnet recently managed to track down Eclipse director David Slade and asked him about all things Twilight. When asked what he would be bringing to the franchise, he said:

I don't really know. We haven't even started shooting yet. It is darker, and there is a lot more action than the previous two. We are going to focus on the origin stories of several characters, like Jasper, and show how Bella will decide between Edward and Jacob.

Origin stories always go down well with the fans and, after Slade's negative comments about the saga were publicly aired on his Twitter account, it looks like he may have redeemed himself with the fanbase. What do you think, Twilighters — should Eclipse be a darker movie? And which origin story would you like to see most: Jasper's or Rosalie's?

New Moon Star Robert Pattinson Hit by Cab in Manhattan

Twilight Saga star, Robert Pattinson, was struck by a New York city taxi on Thursday while trying to escape a throng of rabid Twilight and New Moon fans. In Manhattan to film his post New Moon movie, Remember Me, when the cab struck, Robert Pattinson was on a break from the shoot when he ran across the street at Broadway and 12th, gunning for his trailer in front of the Strand bookstore to avoid a Twilight mob of young female New Moon fans who were waiting for Pattinson in the rain on the sidewalk.
According to The New York Daily News, as Robert Pattinson crossed the New York City street the Twilight star narrowly missed a dangerous collision but was clipped on the hip by the Manhattan taxi cab.
Although Robert was lucky to avoid serious injury (remember, he’s not a real vampire), Pattinson was momentarily stunned, as reported by Radar Online. Apparently, the outlet was on hand when the Robert Pattinson cab clip trip occurred, revealing that at around noon New York time, Pattinson, the Twilight and New Moon heartthrob, was clipped by a cab in front of the Strand Bookstore.
Prior to the incident, which is more accurate that Robert Pattinson was "grazed" by the New York taxi cab, a team of five bodyguards fended off the swelling Twilight crowd outside of the bookstore while Robert tried to make a break for his trailer across the street when he made "slight" contact with the taxi. Once cab contact was made with Robert Pattinson, the taxi driver slammed the brakes. As a stunned Pattinson shook off the cab, the bodyguard closest to the Twilight Saga star gave Robert a check-over for obvious injury before screaming at the rabid Robert Pattinson mob, 'You see what you did, you almost killed him!'.

Why are Bella and Edward really attracted to one another?

http://api.ning.com/files/REo6ZpL7D6Pa8Mdr-wFH7m9iMC7ZwoIuu83xXgaWpHs_/BellaandEdwardMovie.jpg

Michael Sheen, who plays Aro in the The Twilight Saga: New Moon, has said how seriously Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson take their roles in the franchise, and after reading this Metro World News interview with Stewart, I'm starting to believe him.

• Explaining Bella's role in the second film, she says, "She loses the man she's in love with, but she also loses her entire life plan, and she's so young to have to be forced into a decision like that. It's just a glorified, elaborate version of the worst breakup you've ever been through. All of a sudden you question everything. All of a sudden you know nothing and you're dropped in the middle of a freezing cold ocean. Oddly, we have a character that's warm enough and bright enough to bring her out of that, and it's truly gut-ripping. Because as perfect as Jacob is for her, she holds on to an ideal, the ultimate fiery love that she has for Edward even though it's not comfortable, it's not practical and it's not a good idea. So it's really a very strong thing to do. It takes someone who really trusts themselves."

• Asked if Bella is introverted or just seeking an ideal, she says, "It's not that she's incredibly introverted. She's just yet to have found a connection that is truthful. She's a seeker of the truth. She's not one to get wrapped up in something that is a fantasy. She doesn't set herself up for disappointment. So that's what makes the story with her and Edward so compelling, in that this is a girl that normally wouldn't do something this crazy."

All this talk about Edward being "an ideal" and a "connection that is truthful" made me think back to a conversation I had with a friend who didn't understand why Bella and Edward were actually drawn to one another -- besides the fact that he's hellahot and her blood is like his own personal heroin. Is it more romantic if a love is somehow destined -- like in a scent or an imprint -- or if the connection is actually explained? Do you feel like it's explained in Twilight? Is it as basic as a lion wanting to take care of a lamb, and the lamb wanting to feel protected? (Probably not, right, since Bella isn't actually safe with Edward?) Maybe Bella is the only teen in Forks who ever wanted to listen to Edward's Debussy CD?

Director Chris Weitz talks TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON

Stepping into some pretty big shoes after Director Catherine Hardwicke's massive success with the first TWILIGHT, Chris Weitz takes the reigns for the second installment with THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON.

In a follow-up to their interview with actor Taylor Lautner (details here), Edmonton's Metro News had a chat with the director about what it's like to take on such a large beast.

Q. “Twilight”, the first installment of the series, received some criticism for not being 100 per cent true to the book. Are you addressing some of these issues?

A. It’s impossible to be completely faithful to every single page of a book because movies don’t have enough time. So you end up cutting things and combining things. But I would say that we’re definitely using the book as our bible. My take on this film is the film is the book and Stephanie Mayer is my main resource for everything in this. I’m constantly checking with her to see if it’s something a character would do or a detail is right. You can never absolutely please everybody but my main intention is to satisfy the fans of the book.

Q. You’re a very visual director. What’s your vision for New Moon?

A. We’ve got an amazing visual effects team. The whole idea is to use the full palette of colors, to have our shadows be very dark and to have our colours be very rich so that we can experience the full range of emotional texture. The idea is that this will look like a Victorian narrative painting in a way, with those medieval jewel-like colours as well as very glossy deep blacks, and for the composition of the frames to be classical. In some ways, this is going to be a rather old-fashioned film. There are elements that incorporate the latest technology and there are things that are very dynamic in the action scenes. But it’s more Dr. Zhivago than Iron Man.

Q. Dr. Zhivago was a romance, much like Twilight…

A. Well, these books are wonderful romances and appeal to people’s sense of their lives and loves. At the same time, they’re also very grand in scope.

Taylor Lautner Talks About The Shirtless Rain Scene

http://tengossip.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/new-moon31.jpg

We all know that this picture of Taylor Lautner makes us swoon. ALL OF US. I got thinking though about how cold it was in Vancouver at that time and wondered how Taylor could have managed through that scene. I got my answer from an interview he did, this is what he said
“I was shirtless, all I was wearing was shorts. We were in 35-degree (2 degrees Celsius) weather. They poured rain on us, which is like ice cold. And the scene was like four minutes long and I’m just sitting there and you can’t look cold. I’m the only one. I’m just standing there like basically naked with everybody like bundled up in this ice cold weather.”
I have to say that from what I have seen it looks like it turned out good. I can’t wait to see the final product.

See the wallpaper version of the shirtless rainy picture of Jacob here.

New Moon’s Taylor Lautner bites into meatier werewolf role

For a while, there were rumours the Twilight character of Jacob Black would be recast for New Moon, but actor Taylor Lautner is back in the role. It’s a juicier one this time, with more for the actor to get his teeth into. Not only does his relationship with Bella — played by Kristen Stewart — develop, but Lautner also went through an impressive physical transformation.

Q. How is it back on set?
A. It’s good. I’m really excited to be back with the whole team again and our new director, Chris Weitz. It’s been a lot of fun so far and the movie’s looking great, so I couldn’t ask for more.

Q. And you have a huge role this time…

A. It’s a little bit bigger, yeah! It’s exciting because I’m excited to bring alive the new Jacob Black for the fans.

Q. You look like an '80s rock star with your long hair!

A. Sometimes I look in the mirror and I don’t recognize myself. It’s an actual wig. It’s glued to my head in the front and it gets itchy sometimes. You can see the lace if you look close, but it doesn’t come across on camera. It gives me a totally different look. I don’t even look like myself. But it’s fun.

Q. The biggest change is in your body though. You gained 30 pounds of muscle for this role, is that right?
A. I did, yeah. When I was filming Twilight, I knew where my character was going in the rest of the series, so obviously I knew I had some work ahead of me! So as soon as I stopped filming Twilight, I got back home, hit the gym and worked very, very hard, and here I am filming New Moon, 30 pounds heavier.

Q. And doing your own stunts.
A. So far. Let’s not jinx it, but basically you get an evaluation at the beginning of filming. They took me to a gymnasium to see what I could do. They put me on some dirt bikes to see how well I can do. I think they’re just figuring out how much they’re actually going to allow me to do. So far, I’ve been able to do everything, so I’m hoping that doesn’t change too much, 'cause the stunts are a lot of fun.

Q. Did you have a trainer?
A. Yes, I did have a trainer that I used the whole time and I owe him a lot of thanks!

Q. How is it working with Chris Weitz?
A. Chris is amazing. He’s extremely talented and he’s done a lot of amazing work. Everything is looking fantastic so far for this and I know it’s gong to continue to. But at the same time, the set is so calm and relaxed and we’re just having a really great time. Sometimes you wonder, “How is he doing this? How is he creating this beautiful work and we’re just all having a blast doing it?” Chris has definitely taken control and he’s a blast to be around.

Q. What is the biggest challenge this time around?

A. It’s actually the same biggest challenge we had for the first one and it’s the weather. It’s really funny because I think the Twilight saga is the only movies where we have to stop filming when the sun comes out. So whenever it’s sunny, we have to either go to an interior shot or just stop filming.

Q. Let’s get to your character, Jacob. He is actually in love with Bella…
A. Jacob’s love for Bella is really intense. He will always be there for Bella, no matter what. Even if she’s with another guy… or a vampire!

Q. How did you prepare for your role?
A. I did a lot of study for the first film. Before I even started filming Twilight, I studied up on all of the Quileute tribes and legends and myths and everything about them. And when got up to Portland, Ore. to film, I was able to meet with about ten Quileute tribal members. I got to talk to them and what I really learned is that they’re not much different than me, and that was very unexpected.

Q. Do you ever discuss Jacob with Stephenie Meyer?
A. It’s really cool because she comes up here every once in a while for her favourite scenes. At the beginning of filming, she gives a list of her favourite scenes that she wants to be up here for. You've got the best person in the world to ask for advice. So if you have a question, you can just walk on over and ask her.

Q. What’s your most exciting scene in New Moon?
A. It’s so hard to choose. Like I said, I really enjoy the stunts so I had a lot of fun doing the dirt bike sequences. I got to hop on the bike and go really fast and come to a skidding stop. It’s really cool. And I also like a lot of the more serious scenes, the pivotal scenes in the movie, like Jacob and Bella’s breakup scene, which is the first time Bella sees Jacob after he has transformed into a wolf. And it’s really emotional. I felt bad for Jacob just reading the books, but now that I’m actually living this character, I feel so bad for the guy! It’s really sad.

Q. Is Jacob an outsider like Edward?
A. Yeah, I’d say a little bit. Jacob is a really interesting character because he definitely feels like an outsider because he doesn’t go to the same school as everybody else, he’s on the reservation. But Bella brings him out of that. Also, Jacob brings Bella out of this huge depression she’s in. She wants to kill herself, she’s so sad. Jacob is her sun. He brings her alive, out of this deep hole.

Q. Jacob likes Bella. Who kind of girl does Taylor like?
A. Somebody who can be themselves. Somebody who can just open up and be free and not try to be somebody different.

Q. Have you, Kristen and Rob become close?
A. Yeah, it’s a lot of fun. We all get along really well and I think definitely our chemistry offscreen is going to be transferred onscreen.

Q. What is a typical day on the set for you?
A. I have very early wake-up calls. I’m usually waking up at 4:30 or 5, and we don’t usually finish until about 5 or 6 at night. But we usually go out after, just explore the restaurants in town. It’s been a lot of fun so far.

Q. What do you do when you’re not on set?
A. Well, I’ve been so busy with the Twilight saga within the past year. It’s been crazy, but it’s been a lot of fun. We did tons of publicity. I got to travel to so many places in the world. I got to go to Australia, Tokyo… I got to go all over the place. So it’s been a lot of fun. It’s definitely keeping me busy though.

Q. Are you ready to change your life and not be able to walk in the street incognito?
A. I think so! I’m not sure yet!

Q. What would you be doing if you weren’t an actor?
A. I’d probably still be playing sports. I did football and baseball my whole life. I definitely like writing too and maybe I’d be trying to be getting in the directing field, but I’m glad that I’m an actor.

Q. Who are your favourite actors?

A. I really like Denzel Washington, Brad Pitt and Matt Damon.

Q. What about actresses?
A. It changed a lot. It used to be Jessica Alba for the longest time, and I’m kind of transferring to Megan Fox.

Q. All the hot babes!

A. Yeah, yeah, yeah! (Laughs)

Q. What kind of movies do you watch?
A. I’ll see a wide variety, but usually my favourites are action movies. I really like action drama movies. I like The Dark Knight, Iron Man, I like the Bourne series.

Q. Are you eventually looking for a role in an action movie?

A. Yeah, some day. I’d love to.

Q. Aren’t you involved in some sort of hip-hop performance art show?
A. No! That’s on some of my biographies. I need to get that off because I did it when I was 10 years old and I did it for about six months and I was done with it. And I can’t dance at all, so I need to clear that up!

HOW NEW MOON HAS CHANGED

http://thebosh.com/upload/2009/06/08/spoiler_alert_how_new_moon_has_changed/SPOILER%20ALERT.jpg

Twilight fans – prepare yourselves! The New Moon movie will have its own twist on several scenes that appear in the book. Life & Style shares the newest plot secrets from the film’s set.

Bella takes bigger risks

Bella Swan’s a dirt-biking daredevil in New Moon, and the film has her taking her stunts to a higher level to make Edward appear. Kristen Stewart was spotted hopping on the back of a gang member’s motorcycle during the scene in which Jessica (Anna Kendrick) and Bella go to a movie theater.

Laurent fights back

The novel “talks about my character getting chased and destroyed by werewolves,” says Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent. But this evil vampire goes down swinging in a new action-packed scene added to the movie.

The shocking ending

After not saying “I love you” in Twilight, will Edward propose to Bella in the sequel? In the original story, Edward tells Bella he’ll turn her into a vampire only if they get married, but after obtaining the latest version of the New Moon script, Life & Style can exclusively report that Edward has a different bargaining chip up his sleeve.

Twilight Volturi Michael Sheen Enjoys Non-Lead Aro in New Moon

http://www.thedeadbolt.com/images/michael_sheen_newmoon_b.jpg

In these current Twilight times, one of the best roles an actor can land is a character in one of the Stephenie Meyer based Twilight Saga films. Recently cast Twilight actor, Michael Sheen, who’s no stranger to the world of vampires and werewolves, snagged one of the biggest New Moon vampire roles in the Twilight series, Aro, the Volturi covenant leader.

After starring in all three Underworld movies as the werewolf leader, Lucian, Michael Sheen brings his acting game to the New Moon worlds of both vampire and lycan. In transition from the legacy of hairy, four-legged shape-shifter to the manicured New Moon vampire leader, Aro, Sheen recently sat down with Empire magazine to talk about The Twilight Saga and his part in New Moon.

As Sheen revealed in the Twilight interview, Michael isn’t stealing any limelight away from the three main characters, Edward, Bella, and Jacob, played by Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner respectively, and the former Frost/Nixon actor enjoyed playing a non-lead role with Aro. As Michael Sheen told Empire, "It was nice to go in and not be playing the main part, just go in for a few days and play this really really extraordinary character. I remember I was thinking, 'Oh, there's a bit of a Child Catcher here [from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang]; bit of the Blue Meanie from The Yellow Submarine; bit of Olivier from Richard III. There was a bit of all kinds of stuff.'"

Since Michael Sheen isn’t the only new addition to the Twilight - New Moon set, the man Twilight fans will see as Aro also gave his thoughts on New Moon director, Chris Weitz. "It was great to work with Chris Weitz; it was a really funny set, really relaxed. We had a lot of things in common, and hopefully we're going to work together again soon doing something. That might be the thing that I direct, I don’t know yet, you never know.'"

Now that Sheen’s time on the New Moon set is over, we’ll have to wait and see what Sheen brings to The Twilight Saga. For the full interview with New Moon Volturi, Michael Sheen, head this way to the full Empire interview.

New Moon and Michael Sheen hit theaters on November 20, 2009.

More Twilight New Moon Set Footage with Taylor Lautner

http://www.newmoonmovie.org/images/200903100849.jpg

Another round of behind-the-scenes footage snapped from the Canadian set of The Twilight Saga: New Moon has hit the Internet which offers a new perspective on the previously shown footage from Entertainment Tonight

This roughly three-minute clip comes courtesy of The Kyle and Jackie O Show, an Australian radio show you have probably never heard of.

Much of the video centers around Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner shooting cold exterior shots up in Canada that lead into the trailer's wolf transformation sequence. There is also a sequence in which Taylor and a crew member work on a dirt bike which to my understanding is a scene lifted straight from the book.

The clip concludes with a brief glimpse of Robert Pattinson as Edward because, after all, what's Twilight without the main vamp for girls to scream at?

Twilight New Moon hit theaters on November 20 with new footage set to debut next month during the San Diego Comic-Con Twilight New Moon panel.

Robert Pattinson and the Cast of Twilight Didn't Play in Italy

http://www.limelife.com/R/ResourceModule/generated/rs_spl103163_004_w_300_h_400_w_214_h_292.jpg

While filming New Moon in Italy, the Twilight stars didn't get to explore and play in the beautiful country. Was it Robert Pattinson's fault?

There's a lot to see in Italy, but Robert Pattinson, Ashley Greene, Kristen Stewart, and the rest of the Twlight cast didn't really get to enjoy it while filming New Moon. According to Ashley Greene, "We literally all had two bodyguards and drivers, and we couldn't walk and had to be driven around the set. It was because there were thousands of girls that came in from everywhere in the world to see (Robert Pattinson)."

So it's Robert Pattinson's fault for being so good looking, girls were coming from everywhere to see him. The fans would even sleep outside the gates just waiting for a glimpse of Robert and the cast. While the cast was filming the first Twilight movie, they were able to do as they pleased in Vancouver because the world wasn't yet obsessed with them.

Kellan Lutz confirms this and says, "Every second of Rob's life is watched now," while Cam Gigandet says, "(His fame) is always growing, but Rob is still Rob - which is a good thing."

We can't imagine being in Italy and not even getting to see the sites, but it sounds like Robert Pattinson was a tourist attraction himself!

Breaking Dawn pre-production begins

So it’s been common knowledge for a while that “Eclipse,” the third installment of the “Twilight” Saga will definitely make it to the big screen; however, there has been some speculation about “Breaking Dawn,” the fourth and final book.

Although it has been mentioned by the cast, and rumored around the internet, Summit Entertainment has not confirmed anything yet. However, Summit Entertainment recently sent out an open casting call for the roles of Seth and Leah Clearwater in “Eclipse” inviting actors and actresses to send in audition tapes reading the given scenes. The scenes clearly portray plot lines from “Breaking Dawn.” Are you thinking what we’re thinking?

Take a look at the casting call, as well as the scenes, and let us know what you think.

‘Twilight’ Director Talks About Taylor Lautner

catherine hardwicke image

“Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke recently gave an interview with MTV reporter Tim Kash . They talked about Taylor Lautner and his extreme work ethic in light of him also being nominated for “Best Male Breakthrough Performance” award alongside Robert Pattinson. She stated that he was only 15 years old when they were shooting the film, and that he would always show up early for work. Who Will Join Robert Pattinson in Eclipse?

http://www.limelife.com/R/ResourceModule/generated/rs_infphoto_989414_w_300_h_454_w_546_h_746.jpg

The Eclipse is coming

You all just saw the trailer for the next installment in the Twilight saga, New Moon. So is it too early to start talking about the third movie, Eclipse? We don't think so. And we want to know who will be joining Robert Pattinson to star in it.

Wait, you mean there are going to be more actors and actresses for us to be crazy obsessed with? One thing that's for sure is that Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart will remain a member of the Twilight cast. Phew. But there are still a few roles that need to be filled for Eclipse and we can't wait to find out who is chosen!

The three major roles that need to be filled starting with brother and sister werewolves Seth and Leah Clearwater. These characters live in La Push like fellow werewolf Jacob, played by Taylor Lautner. We hear that the production is looking for First Nations actors to fill both roles.

The third role to be filled is Riley, a clean-cut, blonde college boy who falls for Victoria.

Sounds like we are all in for at least another crush. Seth's character in the book is absolutely adorable and we are sure we will love him. As for Riley, we are also sure they will cast someone extra hot. Rumor had is that Channing Tatum was up for the role. Interesting. We'll definitely keep you posted!
Eclipse is set to start filming at the end of the summer so we are hoping to have news on the cast soon!

So, more Twilight hunks to compete with Robert Pattinson. Do you think they could cast someone even hotter than him? Take a look at our favorite Robert P pics and then decide.

‘New Moon’ Stars Talk About ‘New Moon’ Filming Experience

ashley green michael welch image

Senior writer and reporter for MTV News, Larry Carrol got to speak with “New Moon” stars, Michael Welch and Ashley Green at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. He asked them what they’re “New Moon” filming experience has been like so far,and how much fun have they had, etc.
Michael Welch chimed in stating that filming “New Moon” was a little bit different than filming “Twilight” because they were just testing the waters with “Twilight”,and weren’t really sure how well it would do when translated to film although the books were successful. Now that they’ve seen the success, the production of “New Moon” has been different and the fans have been even more supportive. He goes on to say that it’s a beautiful thing, and it’s absolutely fantastic.
Then Ashley fills in the final minutes of the clip, agreeing with what Michael says. And adding that now,it’s a lot more to live up to in terms of expectations. She concludes by saying that she really just wants to make the fans happy.
Ashley Green plays Alice Cullen, and Michael Welch plays Mike Newton in the “Twilight Saga” series.

Pros And Cons of the New Moon Trailer

http://i.realone.com/assets/rn/img/0/5/9/0/28480950-28480954-large.jpg

So, was Taylor Lautner right or was he right? How many of you recorded the The Twilight Saga: New Moon trailer on your DVR so you could watch it over and over again? I forgot to, but I did stay up and rewatch the replay of the entire MTV Movie Awards broadcast for another look at it. So now that we've all seen it a couple thousand times, let's start tackling the big questions. Was switching directors a good idea? Will the special effects look better than in Twilight? Will there be enough Edward? Will Team Jacob be satisfied? Laremy offered a quick take on the trailer in his live blog of the MTV Movie Awards last night, but here's an in-depth look at the trailer's pros and cons:

Pros:

1. Werewolves!: Andy Samberg had a little fun with the audience, teasing everyone with a homemade video of a Dracula vs. Teen Wolf basketball match-up before bringing out Lautner, Kristen Stewart, and Robert Pattinson to introduce the real clip. But even the staunchest Team Edward supporters have to admit the trailer's most exciting moment was undisputedly the glimpse of Jacob phasing into wolf form. We didn't get to see what happened after Jacob gets his claws into Laurent, but that high-flying leap has me already convinced it will be a hundred percent more exciting than Edward's relatively wimpy face-off with James in Twilight. Pattinson and Cam Gigandet better not get too attached to that golden bucket of popcorn they got for winning the "Best Fight" award last night.

2. You can see where the money was spent this time: Everything in this trailer looked richer than in Twilight, from the special effects when Edward shoves Jasper into the piano to the vampires' makeup to Bella's wardrobe. This time around, Summit clearly spent enough money to make a movie worthy of the fan fervor the Twilight saga inspires.

Cons:

1. How much Edward are we getting?: New Moon sets up one of the primary conflicts of the Twilight saga -- Bella finds herself caught between her love for a vampire and her friendship with a werewolf. Jacob is Bella's only comfort after Edward decides he must leave her in order to keep her safe. But as we all know by now, Twilight turned Robert Pattinson into a major star, and millions of hearts will be broken if his role in New Moon is reduced as drastically as it is in the novel. We've been promised over and over that New Moon will have plenty of Edward to go around, but the trailer didn't answer the question of how exactly they're going to give us that. And if they do rewrite the story in order to keep Edward around longer, will it upset the fans who want to see an accurate representation of the books they love? And will it be fair to Taylor Lautner and all the Jacob fans out there?

2. Volturi, anyone?: Despite the presence of all those dreamy vampires, Twilight took place in a realistic world we could all recognize as the one we live in. But the climax of New Moon brings us to Italy, and into the castle of the bizarrely regal Volturi vampire clan. These scenes are meant to be scary in the book, but if handled incorrectly, they could easily end up looking just plain silly on screen. I wish the trailer would've offered a glimpse at them.

3. Was anyone else bummed we didn't get to see Alice's yellow Porsche? Oh well. I guess they just needed to save a few things for when the movie comes out in November.

Taylor Lautner: ‘Get Ready For New Moon!’

http://cdn.showbizspy.com/static/bbc-0053102.jpg

Taylor Lautner has urged fans to “get ready” for Twilight sequel New Moon — because it will “rip your heart to shreds”.

“There is like heart break and, oh it’s…it’s horrible, it just…New Moon will rip your heart to shreds,” the actor told Access Hollywood. “So get ready!”

In the recently released trailer for New Moon, fans got a glimpse of Taylor transforming into a werewolf — which, according to the young star, was no easy task.

“I was shirtless, all I was wearing was shorts. We were in 35-degree weather. [They] poured rain on [us], which is like so iced cold!” he explained. “And the scene was like four minutes long and I’m just sitting there and you can’t look cold.

“I’m the only one [in the buff], I’m just standing there like basically naked with everybody like bundled up in this ice cold weather! And I’m just like too too doo.”

New Moon hits movie theaters later this year.

Paramore say no to The Twilight Saga: New Moon soundtrack

http://fc09.deviantart.com/fs45/f/2009/087/d/3/Paramore___Twilight_by_cookie_isa.jpg

It was pipped for Best Song at the MTV Movie Awards by Hannah Montana: The Movie’s “The Climb”, but “Decode” by Paramore has been blasting from the Boxwish sound system since its release last year. The song from the Tennessee rockers provided the anthem to Twilight and appeared in both full and acoustic versions on the film’s bestselling soundtrack along with another Paramore exclusive, “I Caught Myself” and hits from other top rock bands such as Linkin Park and Stephenie Meyer’s favourite, Muse. But according to the group’s drummer Zac Farro they’re not going to be repeating the trick for The Twilight Saga: New Moon.

Speaking to Billboard, the 18-year-old who celebrates his 19th birthday tomorrow, revealed: “It was really fun to be a part of that, and great exposure, but I think Twilight was it for us. We don’t want to seem like we’re trying to get in every single movie they put out.” He adds: “We don’t want to be, like, the vampire house band.”

The last comment echoes that of the movie’s star Robert Pattinson, who after contributing two songs to the Twilight soundtrack, “Never Think” and “Let Me Sign”, is also taking a break for the second instalment. Back in February he told America’s OK! magazine that the decision was because he “really didn’t want it to look like he was trying to cash in.”

This news of Paramore’s absence will surely upset fans that felt the synchronicity between Paramore and the Twilight saga was seamless and might cast doubts over other fan favourites appearing again such as Muse. But it does leave the door open to new artists ready and willing to leave their imprint on the movie. Any suggestions Boxwishers?

'Eclipse' Already Looking For More Vampires and Werewolves

The thing with doing the Twilight fans at such a short time is, you'll never know when exactly they'll stop working on one and start on another.  It's a hell of a lot, come to think of it--Twilight almost swept the MTV Movie Awards last Sunday (which was, let's face it, a given), New Moon just released its first trailer even if shooting is still underway, and Eclipse is already casting.  Yep, Eclipse is already casting.

The third film in the Twilight saga, set to be directed by 30 Days of Night helmer David Slade, has begun looking for at least three characters.  It's up and running, indeed, especially if you consider that they'll begin shooting the film in August.  Here's who they're looking for, and how they describe the characters--well, sure, you know who they are, but it doesn't hurt to know, right?

Casting notice one: Riley, "a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria" and "plays an integral role in Victoria's attempt to murder Bella Swan."  They're looking for someone who's in his early to mid-20s.

Casting notice two: Seth Clearwater, "a tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin" who "idolizes Jacob."

Casting notice three: Leah Clearwater, who is "tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair," and would've been considered beautiful if not for "the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues."  As with New Moon, they're hoping that Native American actors will fill the last two roles.

So, sure, that means Eclipse is in full swing, but what about Breaking Dawn?  No official word yet, it seems.  "I'm hoping that they make four," Peter Facinelli said during the MTV Movie Awards.  "I mean, if New Moon does well, I think they'll make four."

Ashley Greene's hopes are, well, farther.  "They're just going to have to make a Twilight Five," she quipped.  "I will be forever known as a Twilight girl."

The New Moon Howler: Worst Werewolf Ever?

http://images.eonline.com/eol_images/Entire_Site/20090601/425.thriller.teenwolf.newmoonwerewolf.wolfman.lc.060109.jpg

So, the New Moon trailer premiere happened.

And, while Taylor Lautner's shirtless form was an undeniable feast for the eyes, we're not so hungry like a wolf for Jacob in lycanthrope mode.

Sure, shape shifting is scary in any form, but, well, really?

In annals of cinematic werewolf he can't touch Lon Chaney Jr.'s original The Wolf Man or the killer canines of The Howling or An American Werewolf in London.

Heck, this New Moon dog even looks like a mere pup next to Michael Jackson's Thriller monster and—dare we say it—Michael J. Fox in Teen Wolf.

So what do you think guys? Me too, I wasn't intimidated in Jacob's wolf form. He's cuddly actually. xD

'Twilight': Casting for 'Eclipse' begins

With the first trailer for The Twilight Saga: New Moon barely 24 hours old, news has already leaked of casting breakdowns for three characters in the third Twilight film, Eclipse. Casting directors are looking for actors to take on at least three roles for the film, to be directed by David Slade (30 Days of Night):

* Riley "a handsome, blond, clean-cut college boy who falls victim to Victoria [and] plays an integral role in Victoria's attempt to murder Bella Swan."

* Seth Clearwater, a member of the La Push werewolf clan and a "tall, gangly-limbed boy with a huge, happy grin [who] idolizes Jacob."

* Leah Clearwater, Seth's big sister, and the only woman in La Push, who is "tall and slender with beautiful skin and short cropped black hair. She would be considered gorgeous if not for the perpetual scowl she carries due to a broken heart and her anger issues."

Casting directors are reportedly looking to cast the Clearwater siblings with Native American or First Nation actors. (E! Online first reported these casting details.) The film is due in theaters in June 2010.

Twilight sequel: New Moon could be the first bloodless vampire movie

http://www.twilightwallpaper.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/12/edward-and-bella-wallpaper.jpg

The first Twilight film wasn't exactly a hit with the criticsPeter Bradshaw and Xan Brooks's trend-bucking notwithstanding – but the teen vampire romance based on the popular novel by Stephenie Meyers did incredibly well at the box office, racking up $382m (£233m) worldwide. Shortly afterwards, producers Summit Entertainment parted company with director Catherine Hardwicke after she said she could not turn around the sequel, New Moon, in the short time that was being demanded.

Hardwicke, who also directed teen drama Thirteen and skating documentary Lords of Dogtown, reportedly cited the difficulty of producing convincing CGI in haste for certain sequences in the followup, which focuses on a rival clan of werewolves. Instead, Summit, fearing fans of the first film would lose interest in the interim, charged Chris Weitz (who made the 2007 adaptation of Philip Pullman's The Golden Compass) with bringing the second film to the screen within a year of Twilight's release.

Weitz, if the first trailer for New Moon is indicative, has found a novel way to bypass those complicated, CGI-heavy lycanthrope transformation scenes: instead of showing a man changing slowly into a wolf, he shows a man leaping into the air and landing as a wolf, omitting the actual transformation bit completely. Clever, huh?

This isn't the only reason why New Moon, out on 20 November in the US and a week later here, might be the single most missable movie of 2009. The lingering glances and brooding stares which constituted the performances of Bella Swann (Kristen Stewart) and vampire lover Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) in the first movie are back, as are the Gap model bloodsuckers. And the wolf, once it does land, looks slightly less terrifying than an angry chihuahua.

Of course, New Moon only has to appeal to fans of Meyers's novels and the first movie, as well as teenage girls who presumably like to imagine Pattinson ravaging their own tender necks. But it would be nice if the whole project wasn't so, well, bloodless. What do you make of this one?

Lautner: New Moon a heartbreaker

Twilight sequel New Moon will be a heartbreaking film, says Taylor Lautner

Twilight sequel New Moon is set to be a heartbreaking film, according to star Taylor Lautner.

"There is heart break and, oh it's horrible," the actor, who plays werewolf Jacob Black in the franchise, told Access Hollywood.

"New Moon will rip your heart to shreds. So get ready!"

Taylor and co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart introduced the trailer for the second hotly anticipated movie at the MTV awards on Sunday.

The film sees Jacob transform into a werewolf, which turned out to be a bit of an ordeal, according to the actor.

"I was shirtless, all I was wearing was shorts. We were in 35-degree weather," he said.

"They poured rain on us, which is like iced cold. And the scene was like four minutes long and I'm just sitting there and you can't look cold. I'm the only one. I'm just standing there like basically naked with everybody like bundled up in this ice cold weather."

Kristen Stewart: MTV Movie Awards Hottie

She’s one of the biggest young female stars in Hollywood these days, and earlier tonight (May 31) Kristen Stewart was spotted at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards.
Fresh from her “New Moon” shoot in Italy, Miss Stewart was more than happy to strike a few poses for the paparazzi outside the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California.

And the “Twilight” cutie definitely displayed her own flavor of fashion in a funky black and red dress teamed with a pair of black Converse All-Stars.
Tonight’s show is being hosted by Andy Samberg and will include appearances by Kristen’s on-screen cohorts Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Twilight Weekly Wrap: New Moon Trailer Hype

Amid all of the online Twilight hype surrounding the release of the official New Moon trailer at the MTV Movie Awards and on MySpace, how many websites do you think will be writing reviews of the New Moon trailer come Sunday night? It doesn't really matter. Obviously there will be thousands upon thousands, and thousands more after that. In fact, trailer reviews for New Moon have already hit the Internet, even reviews of exclusive 15-second footage. It's amazing. There was a time not too long ago when most top tier entertainment editors and webmasters scoffed at trailer reviews. The general consensus among many credible publishers was that reviewing a movie trailer was pointless since there's no way you can gauge the final product by analyzing a calculated promotional spot selling tool. Although it may not look like it at first glance, it's still that way today. But what type of impact will the New Moon trailer have on fans in the midst of growing mountains of press coverage?

Will the official New Moon trailer be an accurate barometer of how good New Moon will be in the end and how Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have grown? For some Twilighters, sure, any footage is good footage. From our perspective, the New Moon trailer will serve a dual purpose: 1. It will satisfy the near fever pitch Twilight anticipation. 2. Build fresh New Moon momentum from a brand new starting point. Hey, we're just as excited to see the New Moon trailer as you are, but it's been awkwardly entertaining to see so much hype around ... well ... a trailer. Not that we haven't seen massive trailer hype in the past with other films, but this time the online bandwagon is a lot bigger and it's going to be littered with thousands of reviews of the New Moon trailer between Sunday night and Monday morning. The trailer hype is all a bit too Pavlovian at this point, but coverage of The Twilight Saga and New Moon is quickly becoming just as entertaining as the novels and movies. It really is an interesting and revealing study in human behavior.

[Twilght New Moon Trailer] New Moon has already received a gargantuan amount of minute-by-minute press without the official trailer in the picture. We all know the New Moon trailer was coming down the Twilight pike at some point, but are some Twilight fans already suffering from New Moon overexposure? When the trailer debuts and a new onslaught of New Moon coverage hits the net, will the hype eventually begin to have the opposite effect? Recently one of our readers shared her thoughts on the amount of media coverage New Moon is receiving and the impact it's having on her as a fan of The Twilight Saga. From our Talkback, Lizzy writes, "The more I see photos of the set and crew plastered all over the Internet the less I want to see it. It's meant to be a cinematic experience, and where's the experience when it's been followed every step of the way? It leaves no surprises." Can too much of a good Twilight thing be harmful in the long run? Will the official trailer do the trick in maintaining the essence of that very experience? We'll have to wait and see.

[Twilght New Moon Trailer] Interestingly, another one of our Twilight readers shared the same sentiment, but is looking for the New Moon trailer to offset the ongoing tidal waves of New Moon press. In the same thread, Megan from Boston writes, "I love the novels. I've read each of them twice already and can't wait to see the trailer, but I'm getting exhausted by all of the ridiculous headlines I see around the web. After enduring all of the craziness, I'm really hoping the trailer blows me away. I don't want to get to a point where I'm like, I just don't care anymore." Obviously some Twilighters are already feeling the New Moon crunch with six months still on the Twilight calendar before the sequel hits theaters. Given all of the online press hype, however, it's going to be fascinating to see how the New Moon trailer fits into the ever-expanding coverage. Duck and cover, another Twilight tidal wave is coming.

Are we excited to see how the past few weeks of the production in Vancouver have paid off in terms of New Moon footage? You bet. Will the newly released New Moon trailer be an accurate barometer of how good New Moon will be in the end and how Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner have grown? From the film standpoint only, no, of course not. Like I mentioned, it doesn't matter. For our reader Megan's sake, and Twilight fans at large, we hope it blows everyone away.

Can Anyone Beat Robert Pattinson For Breakthrough Male Performance?

http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/movies/t/twilight/trailer_prem_oct9/more/281x211.jpg

In order to be nominated for Breakthrough Male Performance at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards, you had to be foreign, dreamy, British, funny or a combination of all four.

The obvious front-runner is "Twilight" star Robert Pattinson, who has a rabid fanbase on his side. The category also finds Dev Patel nominated for his role in the Oscar-winning flick "Slumdog Millionaire." Then there's Bobb'e J. Thompson for his hysterical turn in "Role Models," Taylor Lautner in "Twilight" and Ben Barnes in "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian."

Patel might have starred in one of the biggest films of the past awards season, but it's going to be hard for him to beat out Pattinson. The same goes for Barnes, who is pretty dreamy himself but hasn't amassed Pattinson's faithful following. And Thompson is adorable and funny, but he is the clear underdog in this match.

But enough about those other guys: Pattinson has female fans who are most likely voting over and over again as you're reading this for their beloved RPattz. Playing brooding vampire Edward Cullen hasn't been so bad for Pattinson. If he doesn't win, it might be the show's biggest upset, but there's always the possibility that Team Jacob will mobilize to get the award for the other "Twilight" heartthrob, Taylor Lautner.

Pattinson once told us that if he hadn't become an actor, he had another very interesting career path in mind. "I always wanted to be a rapper when I was younger," he revealed. "That's always what I wanted to be before I started acting. ... I didn't have the right physicality about it. I'm not very threatening."

Robert Pattinson: Acceptance non-kiss was Kristen's idea

June 01, 2009, (Sawf News) - The idea to put viewers on the edge by going through the motions of reenacting the Twilight kiss that earned them the Best Kiss Golden Popcorn came from Kristen Stewart, says co-star Robert Pattinson.

"[The acceptance] was Kristen's idea. My ideas were so terrible they were rejected," he tells Entertainment Tonight of their non-kiss. "So I'm happy she helped me two minutes before it happened."
"That was my big idea. I'm not going to kiss you!" Kristen endorses.

As Pattinson and Stewart walked on to the stage to receive their award, they first exchanged hugs and greetings with Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, who announced them as winners. Next, Pattinson got rid of gum as he readied to be kissed. The two co-stars faced each other and braced for the kiss. Stewart then edged closer as Pattinson closed his dreamy eyes…

With their lips inches apart, Stewart turned to the microphone and said to the audience, “Thank you so much!”

'New Moon' trailer highlight of MTV Movie Awards for 'Twilight' fans

"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner presented the trailer below for the much-anticipated "Twilight" sequel "New Moon" at last night's MTV Movie Awards. And judging by the reaction, this second installment in the series of films based on the Stephenie Meyer bestsellers will be another smash hit.

Twilight Robert Pattinson Kristen Stewart Taylor Lautner New Moon MTV Movie Awards.jpg "Twilight" won five MTV Movie Awards (that's probably a new record, but I haven't officially checked the numbers): best film, best female performance (Kristen Stewart), best male breakthrough (Robert Pattinson), best kiss (Stewart and Pattinson) and best fight (Pattinson and Cam Gigandet). Lautner also contended in the breakthrough race against Pattinson. And the song "Decode" by Paramore was bested by "The Climb," written and sung by Miley Cyrus in "Hannah Montana: The Movie."

"Twilight" grossed $351 million worldwide with $149 million more in domestic DVD sales alone. This first film of the franchise is contending at the upcoming Saturn Awards as well. It competes for best fantasy film against "The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian," "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button," "Hancock," "The Spiderwick Chronicles" and "Wanted."

"New Moon" is scheduled for release on Nov. 20, just one day shy of a year since "Twilight" launched Pattinson and Stewart into the stratopshere. The sequel continues the star-crossed love story of vampire Edward (Pattinson) and the mortal Bella (Stewart). Edward is forced to abandon Bella to save her from his family. And sheepish Jacob (Lautner) transforms from her best friend to a hunky hero in wolf's clothing.

Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart Tease Audience After Winning Best Kiss

 http://www.mtv.com/shared/promoimages/movies/movie_awards_2009/best_kiss_acceptance/281x211.jpg

If Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart didn't win the 2009 MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss, the universe might have ripped in half. Of all the categories in which "Twilight" was nominated this year, the one that brought vampire Edward Cullen and his high school love Bella Swan into a lip-locking embrace seemed like a surefire win.

And that's exactly what happened at the Gibson Amphitheatre on Sunday night. Beating out competitors like the lovebirds from "Slumdog Millionaire" and "High School Musical 3," Pattinson and Stewart garnered the Golden Popcorn statue and took the stage together.

Pattinson leaned into the mic and announced that he had to take the gum out of his mouth. OME — were these two about to re-enact their big screen kiss for the MTV viewers? It wouldn't have been the first time. In 2007, Will Ferrell and Sacha Baron Cohen made out passionately onstage. Could it be happening again?
Pattinson and Stewart stared at each other, steeling themselves for a kiss. He moved in, she moved in. They closed their eyes. They touched noses. And then ... Stewart turned to the mic and declared, "Thank you so much!"

OK, so give the "Twilight" duo credit for being pretty darn good actors. Disappointing? Sure. Funny? You bet. At least they won a richly deserved honor. And we'll all have a chance to see Edward and Bella suck face a lot more this fall, when the second film in Stephenie Meyer's vampire franchise, "New Moon," hit theaters.

OFFICIAL NEW MOON TRAILER!

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON trailer in HD

This really made me so EXCITED!

'Breaking Dawn': Summit, step up your game

TwilightKCStory
"Twilight" star Robert Pattison has confirmed that a fourth film in the franchise will move forward. Hero Complex newcomer Emily Christianson has some thoughts on who might be best behind the camera for the "Breaking Dawn" adpatation. Here's her list of possible directors...
"Breaking Dawn" will see the light of day and that's exciting news for "Twilight" fans who thought it couldn’t be done.
With countless challenges ahead for anyone hired to helm the project, Summit would be well advised to take their buckets of cash and invest in a director who knows makeup, special effects and young love and won’t balk at the thought of a rapidly growing vampire baby. Not to mention inheriting the vampires and werewolves of past directors Catherine Hardwicke, Chris Weitz and David Slade.
Who is worthy of such a challenge? We’ve thought of six so far....
Peter Jackson: The "Lord of the Rings" series -- "The Fellowship of the Ring,” “The Two Towers” and “The Return of the King” -- and “King Kong”
The New Zealander carries emotional story lines and dialogue to full tilt. With the help of the Weta Workshop and his Oscar-winning friend Richard Taylor, the makeup and design effects would be a cinch.
Guillermo del Toro: “Pan’s Labyrinth,” “Hellboy,” “Hellboy II: The Golden Army” and “The Hobbit”
With "Hellboy," he dressed a grown man in latex prosthetics for a movable and realistic look and then commissioned dozens of individual creatures for "Hellboy II." A dozen or so werewolves and some vampires would be a walk in the park for this director, who’s overseeing “The Hobbit” next.
Len Wiseman:Underworld,” “Underworld: Evolution” and “Live Free or Die Hard”
If Slade (“30 Days of Night”) can direct “Eclipse,” then Wiseman could definitely lend his vampire and werewolf experience to “Breaking Dawn.” He would have to leave the goth garb behind, but bringing along his wife, Kate Beckinsale, for a vamp cameo would be even better.
Andrew Adamson: “Shrek,” “Shrek 2,” “The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and “Prince Caspian.”
Mixing fantasy with reality is his forte, which would be a natural progression from what we’ve seen so far. From a live-action Mr. Tumnus (James McAvoy) to the computer-generated Aslan, Adamson's got enough tricks up his sleeve to make Renesmee look real.

Sam Raimi: “Spider-Man" 1-4, “Drag Me to Hell,” “The Evil Dead” and “Army of Darkness”
Raimi is where horror meets sci-fi, and he doesn’t shy away from romance. His humor and camp could do wonders with Jacob’s sometimes snarky attitude in the final book. He’s also the most qualified for Bella’s gut-wrenching birth scene.
Alfonso Cuarón: “Great Expectations,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Paris, je t’aime” and “Children of Men”
A fav director among the Harry Potter filmmakers, he was also the one to bring Lupin (a.k.a. the werewolf prof) to the big screen. Cuarón disrobed (in the most innocent sense) the teens and made them more relatable to audiences, which "Twilight" author Stephenie Meyer would surely appreciate.

'Twilight' director: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson were good in bed

For "Twilight" couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, it all started in bed.
For "Twilight" couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, it all started in bed.

Are they an item or not?

The latest issue of Life & Style magazine sure makes it seem like "Twilight" co-stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are sharing a thing off screen as well. They're on the cover under a headline that says: "It's On!"

The mag reports that the two took whatever it is they're doing to the next level when Stewart bonded with Pattinson's parents during his birthday party last week in Vancouver, British Columbia, where "New Moon" is shooting.

Apparently there was some serious parental bonding going on over kobe beef meatballs.
“Kristen and Rob have amazing chemistry,” their co-star Elizabeth Reaser told Life & Style. “They’re great together.”

"Twilight" director Catherine Hardwicke seconded that observation, telling the mag just how she came to choose the two for the roles of on-screen lovers.
And get this. It involved a bed.

“To decide who was going to be Edward, I had chemistry reads over at my house on my bed,” Hardwicke tells Life & Style, “and when it was Rob and Kristen together, you could just tell … this is it.”
Hardwicke says "it’s intense when you do such an intense project. Robert and Kristen are interested in each other, like a fascination.”

The magazine, which claims to have seen the latest version of the "New Moon" script, also spills the beans on plot secrets from the set.
Stewart was seen hopping on the back of a gang member's motorcycle in one scene where she goes to a movie theater with Jessica (Anna Kendrick). Her stunts have apparently become even more daring to make Edward appear.

A new action-packed scene has been added that has Laurent going down swinging. "The novel talks about my character getting chased and destroyed by werewolves,” says Edi Gathegi, who plays Laurent.
And apparently, after not saying “I love you” in "Twilight", Edward has a different bargaining chip up his sleeve in "New Moon."

Maybe it involves meatballs.
